He used to play for Carlton.

Good enough?

If you think his in our best 22 your delusional.
Nope still stupidity

Seriously how hard is it just to say he was at best ok last week and the returning Reid offers more?

Who said he should be best 22? And how does one own delusional? You are either delusional or not.....you can't own it as a possession

So....how's everyone feeling about this game? Can we win? Will we win?

Definite 50/50...however, Carltank have a much stronger side to the one they fielded in Rnd 2.

Things that will get us over the line:
  • Desire to win
  • Hunger to win
  • Speed
  • 8-11 different goal scorers
  • Cloke to kick at least 3-4 goals
  • Nullifying Casboult and Waite
  • Freeing up the Krak and other small forwards
  • Being first to the ball and commitment to unrelenting pressure and intensity; and lastly
  • Thoughts of becoming a premiership side once again
With that said, I just can't see it happening for us. I will hope that it does, but Carltank have been playing a better brand than us this year.

Accuracy will decide this match, both in ball use and in front of goal.

Take out the 2 Queensland sides (why not, they don't matter anyway) and Carlton and the Pies are the two most inaccurate sides when shooting for goal in the AFL (ok so they are 3rd and 4th worst).

But, if one side happens to kick straight (or at least straighter than normal) tomorrow night, they'll win.

It will be a close game, anyone predicting Carlton or us to win by more than 2-3 goals needs to think about what they are saying/writing, neither side is good enough at the moment, or accurate enough in front of goal to win by too much.

Of course, I hope I'm wrong and we kick 18 goals and 3 behinds while Carlton kick 8 goals 18.:)

With these outs and injuries I am beginning to doubt us, thinking Carlton by at least two goals. Buck's 'lift' from our players won't sustain us for four quarters.

I hope I am wrong but this could get ugly.

I like how Russell has been dropped for us and Scotland for the scum, after there was a write up on the pies website about players who had both played for the Pies and scum and obviously talking about those 2 players.

I have been waiting for a long time to test Marley Williams and Ben Sinclair in particular against Carlton's small forwards who have given us a fair amount of trouble over the last 3 seasons. I think if these blokes can do the job for us then we can have a good win and I'm confident that they will.

Under Buckley, we haven't lost a game decided by less than 22 points.

Keep it close and we win. :p

Well done Marley Williams and Ben Sinclair. You've made a lot of people who have been patient and who've kept faith in you very happy last night.

Great victory.

There are waaaaay to many threads and topics and I can't keep up so thought I'd just post in here.

Very happy for the players, but more so for Bucks. He's copped it big time in the last week or so, and i'm just stoked for him to beat Carlton, beat Mick and get something positive.

Need to play our next month of footy like our life depends on it and we may still be a sneaky chance to finish top 4.

Either way, I'm very proud to be a Collingwood supporter this morning.
