What's more interesting is Paine's goals have dried up but defensive pressure has increased and now he's being considered for a fwd spot..

So kick goals = no promotion.

kick no goals but chase a lot = promotion.

I hope someone can remind the selection committee that the aim of the game is to kick more GOALS then the opposition, defensive fwd pressure has swung too far as a sole focus imo.

I found this an interesting stat I posted in another thread

Hawthorn and there tackling List. Franklin is sitting 8th with 39 Tackles, Roughead 12th with 34 and Gunston 15th with 28th. Where as on our list Jolly 9th with 32, Cloke 25th with 12 and Lynch 29th with 10.

You will probably struggle, only 2000 tickets left.

Thanks for the info, ISB.
Flying in from China without the luxury of planning ahead.
Having not seen a game live for two years I just thought I'd ask optimistically.
Oh well, I guess I'll at least get to see the VFL live on Saturday...

We may have more wins but the points for and against show they're actually traveling better than us , they'd have to be favorites wouldn't they ?

i would say carlton will go in as favs going to be a challange trying to keep there small forwards quiet
with no toovey big game for marley williams hes going good

I'll be disappointed if Huddo makes way for Jolly this week. Not only will it give Jolly another week to make sure he's 100%, Huddo is the much better match up for Kreuzer. Kreuzer big strength is his competitiveness when the ball hits the ground, which is also strength of Huddo's and he'd go a long way to neutralising Kreuzer's influence.

IN: Witts Keeffe/Reid Young

Out: Lynch Russell Williams/Sinclair
Wouldn't think they'd risk dropping either Sinclair or Williams against Carlton. I think we want to make sure we don't go in too top heavy down back. Despite being a popular whipping boy,due to his horrible disposal- Sincalir has actually been pretty good since going back and Williams has been solid.

Kreuzer is very ineffective in terms of hit-outs to advantage, his plan a,b & c is thump the ball.

Kruezer gave Jolly a bath twice last year. Wouldn't be unhappy if Huddo gets another game this week.

Arriving Friday morning in Melbourne, folks.

Do you reckon I could walk up to the G and get in Friday night?

You got Shenzhen chance i reckon.

Important game. Just about secures top 8 for us and rules out our biggest rival.

Sinclair won't be dropped. Was one of our best against Port, and also the only logical match-up for one of Carlton's small forwards.
sinclair has been far more affective as a backman than a forward, yes he will make mistakes but his role of been able to play on a small forward and have genuine pace is an asset back there at the moment especially as we have no toovey and BJ is in his final year.
glad they took my advice and try him down at a back pocket in the vfl. was suprised they brought him into the seniors as soon as they did but considering our injuries i guess it had to happen. he is one of the few small players we have who has genuine pace. just needs to use the ball better and giving him 2 long leading targets in cloke and reid will help his decision making, instead of having trying to pin point targets in a flooded back and midfield
