How do people feel about making Jolly play the Lynch role? It would mean giving Witts/Hudson most of the ruck, and obviously dropping Lynch. However I think Jolly is a better contested mark in our team as anyone and has always been a good shot for goal.

IN: Beams (if available...wishful thinking, I know), Young, the Krak Dawg.

OUT: Sinclair, Thomas, Russell.

if beams is ready for VFL this week then he is ready for AFL. Play him.

young and krak pick themselves.

sinclair...he is just not AFL standard. simple. stop kidding yourselves.

russell...when i watch him i feel like i used to feel when i watched rhyce shaw play circa 2003.

thomas...couldn't hit the side of a barn from 20 metres away.

Those calling for Witts to play...he is nowhere near ready for AFL.

Jolly is less mobile than Lynch if possible.. his opponent could just waltz around delivering rebound after rebound. Jolly isn't a good contested mark, he can't get off the ground and gives away a million frees.

Jolly is pretty much a liability wherever he plays, but slightly less in the ruck as we have no one else decent who can play there.

My god we really need mumford

People potting sinclair need to start watching games and stop immediately calling for his head when we lose. One of our better players tonight, did his job, and has done for the last 3 weeks. Plus 94%, 92% and 92% disposal efficiency last three weeks, leading our side. Suggests his disposal is fine. Maxwell was by far our worst defender today and needs to go but obviously wont.

I'm definitely not a fan of Sinclair but judge him on his merits FFS. Was actually one of the very few who was clean with his disposal on the weekend.

The lack of lowering the eyes was appalling. Poor old Clokey had to deal with 3 V 1 most of the day. Main culprits were Thomas and Blair. Good contested players but average users of the footy. Not a spot for both of these blokes in the best 22

What has happened to Dane Swan? I don't mind in the forward line for some of the game, but too spend the whole second half in the forward line says one of a combinations of things. Is he 100% fit? Is the game going pass him? Has Buckley lost some faith in him? Some of his disposals were horrendous on the weekend, and usually this has been looked over in the past because of weight of numbers but now that he isn't getting 30 a week it becomes harder to ignore.

I have no problem with people potting him when he plays poorly but he he played one of his better games for us last week and was one of our few good players. Did you even watch the game on the weekend?

Sinclair may have saved his career this last month imo

Did you not watch the game? The fact that you have provided no evidence suggests that you didn't watch the game, which demonstrated that the kid does have talent. He was actually one of our better players.

I'm on the Sinclair train as well, as a small defender he was quite effective. Unfortunately for him he was caught out on Shultz on occasion. He stays, Carlton have excellent small defenders that often tear is a new one so it'll be a good test for him.

Didn't think Russel was that bad either.

Need a better balance of experience to young blokes or we'll keep losing and the youngins will get disheartened.

Can't believe we've only beaten 2 top 8 teams. If we lose to Carlton this forum will go into meltdown.

OUT: Hudson, Russell, Kennedy, Martin

Would be giving the Sack and Beams only 1 vfl game then straight into the team , both will need a few matches to get the touch and feel of the game back and we need them good to go come the last 5 games.

In- Anyone who will have a Krak! ha!
No seriously, if Reid is right to go bring him in as well as Keefe. Keefe can go back, Reid forward, played well forward against Brisbane, then we will see if we have another option other than Cloke. It would be a good week to bring Keefe in as Carlton dont have a "Quality" kpp apart from Waite but Brown can go to him. If Keefe doesn't work, shift him forward and Reid back. At least having both them in the side gives us some options. Wouldn't be against trying Paine and getting Lynch in the VFL.

I like it except maybe Young as sub and Kennedy to stay in ahead of Martin. Keeffe to play second ruck so Reid will need to swing into defence when that happens. Blair possible one to drop instead.

I wouldn't make too many changes for this game.

We need to nullify their pace, that's where they usually cut us up, so Sinclair is a certainty to play IMO.

Lynch is a worry but we don't yet have a replacement and he did have his best game against them
last time, as did Elliott, so reckon they stay.

Hopefully Jolly and Reid can come back.

However, if we lose this, maybe things have to change towards preparing for next year and a rejuvenation in general.

Bit tough on him really, he is a decent enough mark that he could kick a few goals up forward I reckon. As for the mobility yes you are right, he would be a purely offensive tool. His teammates would have to make up the slack for forward pressure. Still he would be a better 2nd forward than anyone in the team right now.

Wow you read my mind. This is spot on what I want us to do.

We need to do something with the forward line. Its been inept for months and this is our best option. This is presuming Reid is fit of course. Krak brings some goal kicking nous and Young some penetration & punch. The sooner we get Keefe in the better, IMO the player we have missed most out of all our injuries since the plague started in 2012. He probably will need some time to get in the swing of things, so the sooner he is in the sooner he can start swinging.

Lynch has run his race. An inanimate carbon rod would provide a better forward target. His pinch hitting in the ruck will be missed but, pinch hitting rucks don't win games - forwards who kick goals do. Reid is a marking threat & is agile and can kick the ball. I was hoping Paine or Witts would be options as well, but its clear they are not yet ready.

Williams, Shaw & Sinclair will be vital in shutting down the Blues smalls who always tear us to bits. Sinclair has been pretty good since moving back & should definitely stay in.

Martin can be an impact sub, better than most, but if Young is not quite fit enough he could be handy as a sub.

This is the fourth time in a row we play the Scum off a shorter break...
Very good point, I am very concerned about our fitness regime, players looked stuffed. Port had a very tough game in the wet against the swans but finished our game better than we did. What has changed?
