To me (subjectively, and it looks like I'm in the minority), his (Brown's, for some reason quote disappeared) lack of mobility has been exposed on a few occasions and he has been reluctant to dispose by foot and (haven't checked his stats in detail) not effective when he has.

The only KPF's to get us this year were Buddy and Hawkins with 4 each and Reid played on both...

Brown would be right up there in any sort of reverse Coleman and is IMO borderline AA 40 man squad on form this year. Your being quite harsh.

OK, will try to have another look at a sample of some of the games earlier in the season and focus on Brown. Just had a quick look at stats, though, his clangers are up, and his free kick differential is the highest it has been. But those are only two stats in isolation and couldn't find data on his goals against, which would be interesting to see and more meaningful.

Keeffe has only played 1 full VFL game this year, i'd be surprised if he comes in as his fitness would be pretty dodgy and we already have a bunch of underdone players in

He has played four of five dude, was best on ground last week and performed well in the other games.

I'm actually slightly confused why Nick Maxwell is even still our captain. I still strongly believe that Pendlebury should be captain, followed by Luke Ball for VC.
Pendles is the playmaker imo. Maxwell... trade him imo.

Ahh maybe because of his track record as an excellent leader

Well you are right about one thing you are in the minority

Couldn't disagree more. Browny hasn't been beaten at all and he'd probably be in All-Australian contention by now if he had a few goals kicked on him every week, switch hit up forward and won us a couple of games with a goal. (sly dig at Carlisle and co. ;) )

Seriously though, he's been fantastic. First defender on the team sheet since Tooves went down.

Just Hope we Can Play well again as last week. As times we struggled to Back Up a Good Performance with another one the Next Game

Spot on TD. If we really are turning a corner now is the time to really show it by being relentless tomorrow

2nd That. We need to Back Up our Last Game with a Same Kind of Game where we dominate and not just go back to where we were vs Port

Really happy with the team.

I think if we had picked Keefe, it would've made us predictable. Sanderson would've known that reid is playing forward and he could've prepared for that. We'd also have 3 guys over 200cm in the team including one slow giant. They would've tried to out-run us.

At least we have a versatile side. Buckley can still use Reid forward if Maxwell can hold down a key post. Tom Lynch has been a good player, but he is not a typical KPF in the sense that he plays more like a flanker. I reckon Maxwell could take the job...or even Seedsman or Shaw.

However, I think Buckley will still start the game with Reid in defence...and look to surprise Adelaide by swinging him forward. It caught the Blues off guard last week with 2 quick goals.

Unpredictability is a real weapon in football. Although the Keefe selection makes sense...it takes away our mystery.
