Really happy with the team.

I think if we had picked Keefe, it would've made us predictable. Sanderson would've known that reid is playing forward and he could've prepared for that. We'd also have 3 guys over 200cm in the team including one slow giant. They would've tried to out-run us.

At least we have a versatile side. Buckley can still use Reid forward if Maxwell can hold down a key post. Tom Lynch has been a good player, but he is not a typical KPF in the sense that he plays more like a flanker. I reckon Maxwell could take the job...or even Seedsman or Shaw.

However, I think Buckley will still start the game with Reid in defence...and look to surprise Adelaide by swinging him forward. It caught the Blues off guard last week with 2 quick goals.

Unpredictability is a real weapon in football. Although the Keefe selection makes sense...it takes away our mystery.
What about Ramsey and Elliot?

Unfortunately, opposition coaches can see this too.

Couldn't disagree more. Browny hasn't been beaten at all and he'd probably be in All-Australian contention by now if he had a few goals kicked on him every week, switch hit up forward and won us a couple of games with a goal. (sly dig at Carlisle and co. ;) )

Seriously though, he's been fantastic. First defender on the team sheet since Tooves went down.
Yeah, that seems to sum up the general sentiment and I initially thought Shaw had not had a great game just last week, but when re-watching, could not really see what that opinion had been based on. Might be the same here, will have a look :)

Really not looking forward to seeing how much your midfield racks it up, Van Berlo will go to one player - should be Pendlebury but will probably be wasted on Shaw. I say wasted due to Pendles being a far more damaging player when on song (which his past month he has been) compared to Shaw. Other then that, our midfield hasn't done much defensively at all so the likes of Swan, Ball, Sidebottom, Beams (?) etc should all rack up decent numbers.
Pendlebury - 42
Swan - 31
Ball - 30
Sidebottom - 28
Beams - 25
