5.Bartel-stood up fantastically well in the absence of Sel and Chappy and that goal was all class.
4.Duncan-I tells you this kid is going to have a breakout year and we should back him in
3.Boris-general in the backline as per usual
2.Wojo-was critical in breaking open the defence at times, looks 20 not 30
1.Kelly-slips under the guard but does such important work

HM's to Corey, Taylor, Ottens, Poodle and Lonergan.

If I could have given the 5 votes to Selwood's courage I would. In fact I'd give that 25 votes.

5. Bartel - Superstar.
4. Scarlett - Where's the love? Did as he pleased all night.
3. Enright - Added another ripper game to the other 199.
2. Wojo - Is it too obvious to say his pace was very important? It was.
1. H Taylor - Love him. AA CHB again please.

Honourable Mentions:
Lonergan - Looks like he's gone up a level. Decision making was top notch.
Corey - Looked good, even if he did have a coupla clangers.
Duncan - Star. He should play most of the year.

I thought we struggled to have a bad player tonight. Found positives in everyone. Hope everyone lays off Hawkins. On a night where no forward did much, thought he battled hard...

5 Bartel (dragged us home in the last qtr)
4 Lonergan (scatched my head on the match up, but what would I know)
3 Enright (steady as always)
2 Wojcinski (apparently he's 30 and washed up)
1 Scarlett (never doubt a champion)

HM : Corey (good to see ya back), Taylor, Duncan, Ottens

5. Bartel last quarter was huge and gave me equally huge boners. Awesome left foot miracle, and does the things that don't go in the stat book, played a crucial role in that last goal.

4. Duncan, looks to be the real deal, reminds me of a young James Hird. 2 great goals when goals were rare as anything.

3. Corey- I think too many of us have forgot how good this guy is. Loved his game.

2. Enright- Milne was shit, Enright was awesome. Gun player.

1. Scarlo- Sneaked in ahead of the other tall backs, the whole backline was fantastic.

Honourable mentions to Taylor, Lonners, Wojac and Selwood for putting his face on the line.

Great win, but would have been a terrible loss... if that makes any sense.

5. Wojo, the spark
4. Lonergan, rock solid, gets my votes because he did what I hoped he would
3. Scarlett, ditto
2. Bartel, last/4 specialist, but there all night
1. Taylor, our defence was StKilda like

Corey and Enright could easily have 5 votes between them
Duncan also could not have been more impressive

5. Bartel - just a star

4. Wojcinski - great run and carry. Thsi guy is more important to our team than most give him credit for.

3. Enright - normal composure in defence. Good to see that NAB cup game form has evaporated!!

2. Duncan - won the game for us really with 2 goals in a low scoring game and a hand in the winning goal.

1. Lonergan/Corey - both excellent and need to be acknowledged.

5. Bartel
4. Corey
3. Enright
2. Lonergan
1. Woj

It would be nice to have a visual leaderboard this year for our poty. I've seen other team boards with them and it looks pretty good.

5 - Jimmy Bartel - Superb performance, especially when the game was there to be won.
His hands were as quick as i've seen them and he moved extra well.
Hopefully the start of another truly elite year for Jimmy.

4 - David Wojcinski - A wonderful, attacking performance from Wojo, showing the footy world that he's far from a spent force.
The duo of Wojo and Trav pushing up to the wings has me salivating.

3 - Tom Lonergan - Again questioned going into the game, even by our own, and again comes through to take a big scalp.
One of these days he might just get the credit he deserves for turning himself into a quality defender.

2 - Mitch Duncan - Very exciting to see the effect another pre-season and Chris Scott has had on Mitch's game.
He was the first to admit that last year he was a bit too 'outside', but with Chris Scott's help he's slowly finding the balance between his very uncanny 'outside' talents and an inside presence.
Kept us in the game and played a vital role throughout.

1 - Joel Corey - Just wonderful to see Smithy back and looking extra fit.
I had my doubts if we'd actually see him back anywhere near his best and whilst it's still too early to judge the long term effects of his knee, all the signs last night were that he's back with a vengeance.

5 - Johnson - When Selwood went down, he became our engine
4 - Lonergan - Stopped Reiwoldt
3 - Scarlett - Dynamic in the first half. Kept us in it
2 - Bartel - Dynamic second half. Got better every minute
1 - Taylor - Helped stop Reiwoldt.

Special mention to every other player, even the kids that got a little lost at times.
