Then what ?

Your team is terribly inconsistant. In fact, you're liable to lose to North next week, and then the rot starts again.

Big mistake by Voss playing injured players, doesn't help in the long run.
LOL with your silent comment on the scum :thumbsu:

Re: Michael Voss - Coach

I don't think there is anything wrong with trying to go tall. We are a tall short down back, we are very lucky we have Staker to fill in. If you go tall you have to make sure you make it work, because if you don't the ball is coming back out again quick. We got the better of them in that battle.

Yeah, I agree with that, I tend to favour a taller forward structure myself, but generally we get seriously cut up by their small forwards, such as Medherst or Davis (except in finals for Davis :D). I think if either of those guys were in the result could have been different.

Jack Anthony, hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

is he the new Rhyce Shaw?

Seeing Didak shirk contests brought back some happy memories. There was one particularly cowardly effort in the 3rd or 4th quarter just outside his defensive 50, up against the man mountain that is Tom Rockliff where he just about filled his daks.

One of the games of the year. Losing to Melbourne and Adelaide yet beating Collingwood who had only lost to the best team in the comp.

Wish I could have been at the game...didn't get to attend the final last year :( I will just wait for the grand final :)

Staker looked like he actually knew what he was supposed to do and didn't kick around his body blindly
Rockliff looks like he has a Sherrin for brains, Has a great looking kick and has similar evasive skills to Chris Johnson
Patfull also had a really good game after struggling to make much impact this season.

Leuey and Clark in the ruck sounded like a dumb idea in the pre-season but it worked last night with Clark getting close to the player he was last year.

Its hard to see on TV but who was our tagging player if we even had one?

Bring on North:D

It looked as though he was mostly on the bench in the first half.

Hard to tell from from my lounge room on the tele though, but that is where I thought he may have been while watching the game.

He did shank a few, but provided some run and carry, and burst through traffic a few time, which is something we have been needing....was ok.

This was your grand final .Enjoy it ,we will see where your year ends up.
You will lose to North this week

Voss will be tearing his hair out,at year's end.Once the Gold Coast team commences and a few of your older stalwarts retire its doom and gloom for you !

Au contraire, your team is known as the May Premiers are they not? Therefore the last Saturday in May is YOUR Grand Final. True to form, your team blew it.

Still trolling mid-week. This loss must have really stung, eh?

Wouldn't that just be pouring salt in the wounds of your defeat? We lost to Adelaide, then beat your mob before then losing to North? How much of a reflection is that on your team if you can't get over the line against a team incapable of beating two of the worst teams in the competition?

It only matters where you end up if you win the cup. So there is a very good chance your season will amount to the same, or even less than ours. :)

i'm not sure why you'd want to bring Grand Finals up...it just gives me a chance to post this:

Kleenex anyone?

Watched the game again today- it irks to say, but slight kudos to Jolly for helping Leuey up after being collected by Jack Anthony in the first quarter. Collingwood hasn't washed the Sydney off him yet.
Agree on Buchanan- was quite good, took the game on. Has missed a fair number of games, hoping to see further improvement.

Come to think of it, with the colours it could be the C'wood rooms after last saturday night.

Yeah I saw that too. Figured the Sydney left in him hasn't been washed out.:thumbsu:
