5 - Corey (In a midfield that again got beaten around the stoppages, Smithy was the only one who won his fair share of stoppages.
He worked hard all night, won plenty of the footy (and quite a bit of it contested), had a stack of inside 50's and even a couple of goal assists).
4 - Ling (Really turned the game when he went into the middle, adding some much needed grunt and proving quite effective when going forward, with a goal and three goal assists).
3 - Menzel (Regularly chimed in with big, key goals at really high pressure, vital moments and again showed that not only is he a freak talent but that he's a man beyond his years.
Hard to believe he's only played 14 games of footy).
2 - Stokes (Yet again Stokes went through the middle, won plenty of the footy, as much contested footy as anyone in the hoops, tackled hard and converted when going forward.)
1 - Josh Hunt (It could have been any number of defenders here but i've gone for Josh because he had job on St.Kilda's most dangerous forward and he not only beat him but totally quelled his influence.
Remarkable that a guy who weighs 100kgs can play on, and regularly beat legitimate small forwards).

3. Ling

The entire backline deserves votes to be honest.
The pressure that this new game style has provided is really allowing them to use their footy smarts again. They look like the huge back six we remember.
They are so damaging it isn't funny.

5. Corey- Easily our best. Workrate was outstanding, was in and amongst the footy all night and won shiteloads of contested ball.
4. Menzel- One of his best games to date.
3. Ling- Showed no age. May not be incredibly fast, but shut down the oppositions best as usual and showed grunt. Also had a hand in a few goal assists.
2. Taylor- Wore Riewoldt like a glove, strong marking was a key feature of his night.
1. Stokes- Won plenty of footy in the middle.

HM: Scarlett, Vardy, Enright, Chapman, Mackie, Josh Hunt, Kel, Lonergan, Pods, Ottens, several more
