Varcoe doing well, like Swan and Pendles so far.

Broomhead looks the goods and Langdon has poise beyond his years will be great.

At least we might score 100 at this rate.

I know this is petty, but did anyone notice the ump pick up the ball and throw it to the Saints player who got the free kick with about 15 seconds to go and he was kicking inside 50m. Not sure umps are supposed to do that. Petty i know!

Alan Toovey's manager says the only way the Magpie premiership backman would remain with the 2010 premiers was if one of his Collingwood teammates was delisted.

"It’s quite obvious that the only way this can work unfortunately is if Collingwood do delist a senior player in order to move in their salary cap, and that's where we’ve left it," Toovey's manager Jim Marinis told Trade Week Radio.

"We will not be accepting their offer that is on the table at the moment."

Marinis said it wasn't his wish any player to be delisted, but it was the only way Toovey - who was being paid "under market rate" - could stay with the 2011 runners-up.

"There is no more room to move in Alan Toovey's contract which means unfortunately we have to go to market."

Marinis would not discuss monetary figures, but said Collingwood's offer was "really not that very far away".

"Collingwood has basically told us there is no room to move and we are looking at potential suitors to see if they are interested in Alan Toovey's services."

Don't know about smashed us everywhere. They are certainly cleaner going forward, hence we they kicked 6 goals with such ease.
