Pre season games? Count?
Since when does player X after a 3 year stint on an AFL list say I played “8 games” … but they were only pre season games.
Yeah Nah… They don’t count for me.
IMO Just Weird.

Towards life membership, I like it. It's a service award that recognises your overall contribution to the game. Round numbers are arbitrary anyway.

Yeah Nah... I don't like it at all.
We'll just have to agree 2 disagree on this one.
Cheers Bud.

That’s always been the case, same as those other matches. Never really used to be spoken about until after a player retired though. It’s the same as most sports recognising other professional games the player has played.
Do you not recognise 5 day and 5 night time premiership player Dermott Brereton?

Yeah i do as he was member of all those premiership games... and i watched all of them unfortunately LOL.
So according to the AFL.
He played 211 games.
They don't count any of his 9 State games nor any of his night games which was another 20 or so.
Nor any of his pre season scratch games.
It's like those creative accountants... they can make numbers appear disappear increase and decrease.
Cheers Bud!

Yeah but the 5 night flags were pre season games! That’s my point
