AFL membership department has got to be one of the most useless organisations - if you email/call them they'll tell you your waitlist number is on the website when you login but it's never been there as far as I can see. I just email them mid-November every year now requesting updated waitlist numbers

The AFL doesn’t make much money so you can understand why these changes don’t get made.

My card has got later and later in 4 years of membership. I mean sure im a 100 years from gold

You would think if you pay in early November it would arrive by Christmas!

I'm Gold, but all the years I was Silver the waitlist number always appeared on the renewal notice in November.

It could be a st Kilda thing?

I've had some arrive in December, some in February. Always before the first pre season match though which is the only thing that matters.

My club support pack came in december. So who knows!

The actual AFL card has gone from November to January in 4 years

Silly question, but I just got my silver membership. If I want to attend a game at Marvel / MCG, do I need to reserve a ticket online in advance, or just show up to the stadium on the day and scan in?

You can just show up, scan in, and sit in any General Admission area, and any seats in the AFL members area on level 1 that are designated as walkup seats.

That being said, level 1 usually doesn't have any walkup seats available...
