9 years ago the AFL were probably still saying 8 to 10 years.2023 - 10882
2024 - 9781
I was perhaps a bit naive when I signed up 9 years ago. I thought I'd be getting close to gold by now

Add another 2-3 years7500 to 6223: 1227 jump.
thinking 4 or 5 more yrs to gold membership. 11 yr member

That shouldn't be possible. How does someone further up the queue move more?2018 - 14,369
2019 - 13,614
2020 - 12,542
2021 - 11,536
2022 - 10,355
2023 - 8,799
2024 - 7,837 (10th year)
962 jump compared to your 1227. this is ridiculous.

(Could be wrong) but is it capped at Gold Members per club? That shouldn't be possible. How does someone further up the queue move more?
Nope(Could be wrong) but is it capped at Gold Members per club?
Was wondering about this, but North aren't going to have more gold members than Carlton.(Could be wrong) but is it capped at Gold Members per club?

Yeah. i found that strange as well so I double checked after I posted. The waitlist number I had written down was 7500 but I just double checked and my waitlist number prior to now was actually 7100. So in event i moved 877 spots. That looks more reasonable when I compare it to others2018 - 14,369

ahh yep that makes more sense. i reckon we're both still 8-9 years out from goldYeah. i found that strange as well so I double checked after I posted. Nah. Dont think it will be that long. 6 7 yrs maxahh yep that makes more sense. i reckon we're both still 8-9 years out from gold
Lapsed gold members. So yeah, they should have come back as silvers at the bottom of the queue.Earlier this year AFl offered lapsed members a chance to become gold members at a price ,does that mean jumping the queue?
I don’t think it’s all kittens and rainbows for them. I think they need to pay a fair portion of annual fees they’ve not paid for the years they’ve lapsed.Earlier this year AFl offered lapsed members a chance to become gold members at a price ,does that mean jumping the queue?
Spot on. You miss a year, you're done. Back of the queueLapsed gold members. So yeah, they should have come back as silvers at the bottom of the queue.
So unnecessary by the AFL. The sort of money a few lapsed members coming back gave them is loose change, at the expense of others and their own poor reputation.
Congrats Daniel
Everyone on this post should get gold before Dan gets to use his gold membership to see his team in a grand finalCongrats Daniel
