Surely Hill + pick 53 for Future 2nd makes sense.

We can then look at sending 51, 53 and 56 for a second-round pick. Perhaps 27 from Collingwood?
I'd rather get a F3, and they'd prefer that to 52 as well.

Thought so, I couldn’t recall if that one was McCartney or not.

Still won big with Stringer and (early days) look to have won with Caldwell.

It’s still an area of the list we have no depth in at all. The price of Hill would sway my mind if it’s a future 3rd (assuming hes getting 3 years) and Stengle would be on a 1 year deal. So he could be off the list this time next year. How good are the Davey twins? Do they help immediately or are they 2 we will be developing over the next 2-3 year’s? Tippa will be 29 next year so I think it’s an area we probably need to look into.
Agreed, Davey twins 2 years away from meaningful impact IMO.

Need speed in the forward line to compliment Walla ASAP.

Serious question:

Who on Hawthorn's list would you give up a first rounder for if they were willing to trade anyone?

- Grainger-Barass

And maybe

- Tom Mitchell
- James Sicily

That's it. ONE player on a playing list of 40 or more players. One.

They ******* suck. Their list is shithouse.

And it's not a 'I hate Hawthorn' thing either.

Take Carlton (whom I despise). Who would you give up a first for?

- Weitering
- McKay
- Walsh

******* run at me boncer34
If the option had come up, wouldn't we have given our #11 this year for Cerra- so him too.

Tiitch no chance unless you were squarely in a window.
i.e. the Dees or Port might look at that option with late 1st rd picks.
Sicily has missed a lot of footy to hand a 1st rounder over for.
I think Sicily would be worth a first. But remembering the Mark Williams fiasco, I'd want a rigorous medical inspection by a top rate orthopod, and with our assessor having access to the treating medico's file.

Hill is an "almost" player. Doesn't quite put enough pressure on, doesn't quite kick enough goals, doesn't quite find the ball enough. However if Stengle chooses Geelong (which seems the more likely option) he'd fill that role.

I'm wondering if we're having a word to Sam Wicks.
That is certainly my impression of Hill. Don't see where he adds much . And what is the basis of the 'compassionate grounds"? He was drafted from Perth FC IIRC.

Brad Hill, Sydney Stack and Courtney Ugle all live in Melbourne (his cousins).
