The other pick is Freo's problem to sort out :p
We help with one half of the trade
Yes, and that's why Freo won't do the deal. Why would they do a trade to actively hinder the deal of their prized recruit?

Would anyone consider mitch Robinson for just 12 months to add some toughness into our backline player or players in general … he would cost nothing and I personally think he would be good around the club … plays non sociable football … I think he would bring a lot ? Thoughts?

A very good fit but he seems resigned to retirement, I would have certainly had a sticky beak before then.

I reckon we are best keeping parish and giving our new coach to try and make our midfield mix work
i also think we are getting better value if parish chooses to leave in free agency
i believe next years top 10 will be very strong and we would benefit from an extra choice if parish leaves

Yes, I would hope the club is reaching out to him.

I agree, I also cannot see someone offering us a top 10 pick this year for him and if he chooses to go we will get a band 1 compensation pick next year which will most likely be a top 5 pick (I'm assuming we will finish bottom 4 again next year)

He said this morning on trade radio he’s open to play on if offers come

Didn’t see that, he seemed pretty resigned to his fate the last time I heard him speak.

I think he’d be good for a year, maybe half of one to a good standard as a winger that brings a bit of grunt and defensive edge, attacks contests at speed, bit out of control sometimes but I’d cop that. Not my first choice though if I was given the option.

SEN reporting Lachie Hunter might be seeking a fresh start.
More of a wingman isn't he ?
What would he be worth ?

Dogs potentially losing Hunter, Johannisen, Cordy(role player) and Schache(role player) as well as Dunkley.

Apparently getting pushed. Would expect him to head to somewhere like St. Kilda or Freo

Under contract for 2 years aswell. Would have to pay waaaay more than he’s worth. Wonder if he is one those blokes Dunkley is talking about who isn’t all in, last thing we need at our club if so.

Edmunds reckons Geelong right into Bowes. * it would piss me off if they got him and 7

If he sees himself as a mid surely we’d be a better fit? Maybe wishful thinking given the mess we are atm but he’d get a look in at least with us

This. I can't see anyone choosing us over Geelong of all clubs ;)

They would only get 7 if they absorb his salary into their cap, which seems unlikely.

Bowes may nominate them but if the terms are ‘we’ll only pay him 450k a year’ then GC may hold him or fob him off and keep 7.

7 is the incentive, they’re not a package.

We should be offering Bowes what is effectively a 500k signing bonus to make sure this gets over the line, 4 year deal, first year 1.3 mil, 2nd year 1 mil, 3rd and 4th 500k each.

Or he’s looking at the fact that Geelong have about 12 players over 30.
Selwood almost done, danger more forward.
Will be positions up for grabs in the coming years.

How they possibly fit it in the cap is quite bewildering though.

Completely agree. I’d be pissed if we’re not doing this. Should also be throwing F2 and F3 GCS way for their high priced academy player next year.

‘The smaller, plodding midfielder has lost currency in the modern game more than any other style of player. James Worpel, Tom Mitchell, Matt Crouch ect their value has dropped significantly.’

- kanecornes on shifting market needs.

Phew!! Lucky we don't have any of them...

Reckon the ideal scenario is trade 22 for an F2, flip that for Bowes, 7 and maybe Sexton as well given they seem to want to flip him as well.

It’s all contingent on buy in from Bowes so we need a coach quicksmart.

Nick Haynes a potential salary dump from GWS too. I reckon we should look at him too. Especially if there’s a pick coming to us.

Smaller plodding media operators like Kane aren’t providing too much value either

I don't necessarily think we have a massive need for him but we should be all over that.

Agree he’s not a massive need, I still think he’s a very good intercept defender though. It’s the potential for a nice draft pick I’d be keen on (not that I’ve heard that’s on offer).
