LOL

Mate we aint doing anything this year:thumbsu:

Flies in the face or what Scott said.

We're not going to spend the draft capital on him.

I believe the Dogs may well spite the Lions and that the PSD could be an option. We would be well within our rights.

WCE and GWS can be priced out of the equation easily enough. Query whether North can though I reckon they're probably a bit shy about recruiting a guy that doesn't want to be there.
Couldnt we price all teams out with something ridiculous in the first year or 2 years and then smooth it out? I feel like i keep hearing we are up to 2mil below the salary cap floor

we could, but there is the issue of convincing said player to come in

We could get Dunkley done quite easily this year
Pick 4 + 22 into Dunkley, 11 & 39.
We slide back in the first rd and give up a pick that Davey would consume. Get our best mid in, still get a decent 1st rd pick this year and still have a pick for Davey.

Problem is Dunkley has to want to come and it doesn't look like we're anywhere on his list atm.

Regarding the PSD threat, I highly doubt a North Melbourne or any other club would take Dunkley (or any other uncontracted player) if he categorically did not want to play for them. He probably would get to us if the two parties were to agree on a deal. Unfortunately I think his interest in Essendon would have well and truly faded by now but you never know...

I think you'd seriously look at it wouldn't you? Give him 12 months to settle if he wants out still in 12 months you can make Brisbane trade for him, even it it was lowballed along the likes of we will give you out first 2 round picks for your 2nd rounders . If he is happy to stay in 12 months its a win.

we are getting stuck into dunkley hard here

any truth too;

900k first 2 years
700k last 3 years

We will satisfy WB trade request.

Only seen that posted by a random twitter poster. Wouldn’t read too much into that, probably a dons fan with wishful thinking .

the dogs would re-draft him in any event
Possibly Port even though he's turned them down (which I thought was an odd option given the move is supposed to be about QLD)

GCS could pounce
Cap space is available.

Our pick is ahead of all those clubs though. He’d want to come to Essendon though which is the obvious road block.

Dons F2 to GCS
7 to Dons
Bowes to Cats

;)

Massive miss by us
If Geelong wanted a 2nd so bad, 22 for all those later picks + F2 & F4 would have been handy.
Throw in our F3 and maybe GCS think about it? Or is there an overpaid dud on their list they’d like to dump
