Apparently Vozzo and Davies got involved and sorted out the Port trade for Duursma/Zerk-Thatcher.

Cripps and Dodoro get on really well but Essendon don’t have a future 3rd and weren’t going to give up a future 2nd, so the big bosses stepped in to sort it out.

There was a time when I thought you understood that in this context the effectiveness of the player in issue is a matter of putting complimentary pieces together.

But for all of your professing of your expertise, you will always toe a party line that indicates you don't actually get it.

Looks like over 30 VFL games Long averaged 18 disposals, 4 marks, 6 tackles, and kicked 11 goals and was trialled fwd, mid, def. 5 AFL games. Seems a decent start for a young bloke yet to turn 21. Is he not worth a rookie spot?

Read my post n the make up of our list thread .
I clearly stated we have tinkered around the edges and we still lack hard edge leaders and players who can win contested footy around the ground.
I get it . I just do not wind myself up over it .
It is what it is and no amount of yelling at the clouds can change it.
And I do not really rate Long . Average player.
Yes we need some list balance . Leaders. Marking types. Contested ball winners.
That is why I have said more like 5 years than three years if they can get it right which is no guarantee.
