Ths game has highlighted all our flaws.

Lack of clean skills.

Lack of outside run.

Too many players are almost entirely reactive, and don't make play.

Too many players selected because of athletic traits who cannot find the ball.

At this point, we have seen signs of improvement in the year, there is a way forward, so losing every game from here isn't the worst outcome.

Every one of the likely top 5 or 6 picks this year is a jet.

Got smashed at the contest and on the spread. Finals was a bit of a pipedream. Definitely improved from last year but still well below the standard of the top teams.
We are still half a dozen players away.

If we can replace 6 with materially better players, rather than like players, we will be good.

I think we have a few players that might seem like they need to be replaced, but who I suspect would look better in a team playing well.

We have improved this year ............... BUT the trouble is that so has every other team.

Until we stat closing the talent gap, we are going to keep getting smashed season after season.

Having been restricted to only WA players to draft, for so many years, has put us right behind the 🎱 and completely snookered.

Hard to see any way for us too close that gap any time in the next five seasons.

10.7 to 2 points after qtr time  I didn't realise our girls were so far behind in skills after watching majority of the game.

29.4% efficiency inside 50, giving themselves no chance.

Should be mentioned, the Hawks are for my money the most talented team in the comp. Still inexperienced, a few years away from their best, but it's good to bear in mind.

As others have said, we've just got too many passengers. Bakker, Britton, Bushby, Goranova, Harken and Western might have good moments against lesser teams, but against the Hawks they're a whole big level below. BUT, we're only forced to play them because our main list has so many injuries, so we're not in as bad shape as it looks.

The Hawks also play a far superior style to us. That's not Daisy's fault, we just don't have the midfield talent to play fast and wide like they do, Daisy keeps it simple because it's all our list can handle. Get some more midfield talent, and we'll be able to change the way we play.

Agree with those who say try Rentsch on the ball. Especially as it becomes increasingly obvious we're not playing finals -- try some things for next year, see how it looks. The current midfield lineup won't scare anyone.

Hawks in that tier above that the chasing pack just doesn’t go with, but we got a real lesson.

Need some more mids, badly. Easier said than done but another Drennan type to make us not so reliant on the same few players. Even at our best we don’t win much footy out of the middle, we transition it well off the half back line.

Too hard when you’re getting such little first use. Would love that fifth win before the end of the year, please.

Still got Rowley and Kavanagh to come back, they'll one day be good mids for us, but maybe not stars. It's annoying that they're missing so much footy right when they need it most.

But our first draft pick will be a mid, you can bet your house on it. Maybe the second too. Hawthorn completely outclassed us on the ball.

Yeah we'd do very well with an absolute ball pig, and someone who glides across the ground and is elite offensively/defensively on the spread. Can maybe deal with a B grader in one of those roles (possibly Kavanagh for the first/Rowley for the second) but need one more star in there. Roberts is more of a Dusty who provides scores, score involvements, cutting their defensive lines open and you want her focusing on those over being at the bottom of packs ideally.

What I wouldn't give for a Rowbottom/Prespakis bull. Don't really have anyone on the list who dominates clearances, Kavanagh pending.
