Yep Roughy would be the yardstick, one would think. Maybe a more athletic but shorter Keeffe.

Good pickup IMO. Developable as key forward/back as well as ruck/forward. Great to have someone like that on the list that has actually grown up playing footy and isn't an Ethiopian squash convert.

If PMBangers is accurate about him beating Moyle/Darcy for most of their matchup, the shoulder reco might be a blessing in disguise. With that sort of form he may have shot up in the rankings ala Edwards and we would have missed out.

Can't decide whether Travis Cloke's endorsement fills me confidence or trepidation though.

Not sure what all the angst is about. We wanted a KPF. We got a KP size player. Club may see more upside to this kid than Callow in the longer term.

Let’s face it, next 18 months is not important, it is the years after that which will matter. Who is better out of Callow and Begg after that is all that matters. Can’t see why it will not be Begg.

You'd hardly expect them to say a player we selected was not competitive and occasionally timid but that description fits one of last years picks perfectly. You'd hope those qualities are a non negotiable.

Of course he's speculative selection but one that has cost bugger all and if he proves a miss at least we've aimed high with a kpp.
