Ben Rutten has not been sacked as the Bombers prepare to make changes to their board.

It’s understood president Paul Brasher will be replaced with David Barham the leading contender.

The Bombers are expected to announce the changes this afternoon.

It’s believed there’s been division among the board since Brasher decided to go public and announce a club review into all football operations in May.

It’s understood chief executive Xavier Campbell didn’t want the public scrutiny associated with announcing a review.

Club officials are shaking their heads at the “debacle” unfolding at the Bombers.

Robbo, I’ve never loved you more if this is correct 🥰

Drop the recipe big dog
No actual recipe just years of practice and nailing it but these are the things I do and it works every time.

Uncover pork in fridge overnight and take out of the fridge a couple of hours before cooking.

Pour boiling water over pork and pat dry.

Make sure rind is scored.

Liberally apply salt and olive oil to the skin.

Surround pork with peeled garlic cloves and peeled shallots (or small brown onions) and put half a centimetre of water in the baking dish.

Preheat oven as hot as you can before cooking.

Put pork in and leave on high for 30-60 minutes until the the crackling is done. May need another basting with olive oil/salt. Make sure there is still a little bit of water in the base of the pan.

When crackling is right cover with foil and reduce oven heat to 180C until pork is cooked.

Once cooked pull from oven, remove crackling then stand the meat wrapped in foil for 15 minutes.

Make gravy in the baking dish using the juices in the pan - the flavours from the meat juices, garlic and shallots is superb.

Serve with roast potatoes - my preference is to parboil them with rosemary and then roast in duck fat.

Eat like a king and wash down with a good cab sav.

The general treatment of Rutten in this instance by everyone in the media seems to me to be a new low. It’s like as if he doesn’t even exist in people’s minds, in their headlong rush for something “different”.

Clarkson to * was the media wet dream.

I love to think this actually played out in real time,
* board, boot their Prez because he was the sticking point to Rutten. They tell Rutten to clear out his desk and call Clarko..
after 30 mins of pleasantries, a couple of board members run downstairs to tell Rutten, they were only joking, we never had a chance at Clarko, please stop packing up your desk.
