True story: I worked in Subiaco for many years and frequented the same Japanese takeaway joint that the Eagles players often went to. Which is how I was standing behind Jackson Nelson as he was introduced to some of his new teammates, a few days after the draft.

Except I wasn't actually working in Subi the year that Jackson Nelson was drafted, so it couldn't have been him. And I can't remember who it actually was.

Memories fail sometimes, and the longer it goes, the worse it gets.

One thing that is for certain is that the accused ability to defend themselves has been severely compromised with the process of the initial report and all the media leaks and reporting.
For the legal minds out there, does this put the accused in a really strong position if they decide to take this to court? Or does it just make it a bigger mess?

The more I read about this and listen to commentary I just don't see how this is resolved. I feel for all parties - accusers and accused. What is a good resolution? If the accusers won't testify under oath then that's it for me. So far we know the accused but only speculation about who are the accusers. So many areas of unfairness. Frustrating.

I would also add, if he was so talkative to a stranger at the Telstra shop, you can bet your bottom dollar that it was all common knowledge around the club at the time. Why the feck are the former players staying quiet? As Rita Panahi has rightfully picked up, this is hugely important now for the former club employees to speak out and help those involved.

But they are too scared to do so as they would be labeled racists. We live in scary times. Times when decent men can be falsely accused of a heinous acts and nobody can stand up for them or risk being cancelled

Re cancelling: if anyone had accusations made about them, they’d be subject to an enquiry. All of us. Depending on our jobs, some would stand down or be stood down.

Clarkson or Fagan haven’t been cancelled. They will get natural justice. They have access to rich guy lawyers.

Actually the best type of witness is one disconnected from the allegations. If and I have no reason to doubt the poster that this is true and by crikey it makes a heck of a lot of sense.

I was chatting again with old mate and he was chatting to an ex footballer who said, that type of discussion isn't rare in the brutal world of football.

If you want something gone, you can do something about it. Horrid and left me a tad shocked, but after thinking about it not overly surprised.

I’m not a legal expert obviously, but is it possible for the Clarko’s legal team to use the drug use by those involved as a major factor to dismiss the allegations? Shouldn’t be too hard to prove whether they are drug users or not

I don't see it getting resolved either and I can see Clarko taking the AFL to court if he is not allowed to coach.
The other question is should we continue with Clarkson as our coach without a proper resolution? If that is at all possible?

She was until I went on a 3 hour rant last night. About how you lot of shitbags will be good for each other. Then I questioned her morals and stated I probably shouldn't be dating her. And did she do the same drugs as Hird, all hoicked up, and is that fake tan or is you skin always that colour!!
Then she said, " well it's not like Hirds as it isn't ****en orange". I did concede that point.
