Not sure if it's your intention but that just comes across as you not believing the allegations because some other indigenous kids lied once, which is pretty ordinary.

When there is something to gain out of it ofcourse a reasonable person should question the truthfulness of an accusation.

This Hawthorn report/review has provided an opportunity that could be taken advantage of. For that reason no one should blindly believe those accusations are true.

We also need to take account that none of the indigenous boys who remained with Hawthorn have claims to be subjected to this treatment. If it was racially motivated behaviour then you have to assume every indigenous player would be subjected to this type of behaviour.

Without knowing the players the rumours are that these were players that were delisted or let go, so it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that these same players were disgruntled and have an axe to grind.

Clarkson is under no obligation to stay at home until this investigation has completed.

There’s a million and one ways to frame it from a PR perspective and as long as the players consent I see it as the most likely outcome.
