Caramel and its first cousin toffee are gross.
The worst icecream flavour.
The worst milkshake flavour.
The worst chocolate additive.
Even in homebrew you have to be careful not to overuse caramel malts, because once its more than barely perceptible, it ruins it.
Disgusting stuff.

Unfortunately, our effectiveness from clearance was terrible.

Yep winning clearances is a small part of it - how we space and move during it is more important. A clearance is useless without cohesiveness.

No idea why people want Blakey gone, he had nothing but success as a defensive coach at Sydney and now that he's arrived for a cup of coffee its time to give him the arse because he hasn't got any defensive cattle to work with, in a year where David Noble was head coach?

Give me a ****ing spell, some of you are deadset headhunters looking for a bloodbath.

True...you have to have the players to work with. ATM we dont have that. Hopefully Clarko will see that and keep Blakey..

I reckon the old North people like Brady, Boomer, Blakey, Patch will all stay

It's important to note as an addendum that we'd not be keeping them simply because they're North people (Half the comp can thank their successes due to North people in their roles) -- but Boomer is loved by the playing group and has been a good development coach for us so far in addition to his other duties, Patch was really impressive as caretaker and has pulled off wins he really shouldn't have coaching a VFL side in which the club doesn't care to invest in properly, and Blakey hasn't been there long and is highly rated across the comp and he needs a better backline to work with plus a coach that knows a good defensive setup at the helm (Clarko can do this very well).

Brady the jury's out on him, appointed in a higher position too early and put forth some crummy deals to players. But he survives so the club must rate him and I'll trust what the club does in their due diligences this off-season because we have the right pairs of eyes looking at it.

Agree completely mate. He seems very highly regarded in the industry and you never hear a bad word about him.

I'm pretty sure Clarko will enjoy having a senior assistant with his experience and one that doesn't want to be senior coach too.

He will be key in ensuring a stable transition from a football strategy perspective.

GM of Football performance Dan McPherson and assistant coaches Heath Younie and Anthony Rocca will depart Arden St. Brady Rawlings to stay in his current role and will report to Viney according "under a new structure" to the NMFC app.

Quite interesting how these changes are being publicised before the delist of players. Clean-out appears to be starting from the top.

Edit: Dan, not Dab McPherson

I think (a) Sonja would have wanted some assurance on that point and (b) it's probably what Clarkson means when he says he's not going to turn the joint upside down for the sake of it. Viney was obviously Clarkson's non-negotiable, and McPherson (sadly for him) was dispensable from the Board perspective
