"We have an emblem or a brand in terms of the kangaroo which is pretty unique, that we should be able to take to the the WORLD or if not, certainly Australia"

It's funny he has mentioned this a few times, maybe he could pull some strings and have us go back to the bounding roo logo, or a variation of it. A rebadge is not really an expenditure we need right now, but personally I'd be glad to see the back of the grumpy roo with bags under his eyes who needs a coffee.

He’ll be right, accounting to Liam Boy the ladies dig this look now a days
Mate, if Cameron Ling can bat above his average, Lizard will fair cut a swathe through them..... :stern look

Considering this is the second time he's mentioned this, first time at the press conference where I thought it was a cute observation around branding. But he said it twice the same way, and I really do think he has a goal in mind to take the Kangaroo branding and iconography beyond the borders of Vic or the world and make North Melbourne the most recognised football club in the world, and manage it like the classic NBA or English Premier League soccer clubs would by having them be a staple of the sport and be big into overseas merchandising, it's becoming more prominent in recent years amongst more cultured folk abroad in the United States for example to see someone wearing an AFL branded hat or something its rare but its becoming a thing. People like international sports as fashion because of their iconography, the Chicago Bulls capitalised on that big time in the Jordan Era, everyone wanted to wear the Bulls jersey or a Bulls hat, because its bright red and looks cool.

Similar has happened with Golden State, their colors and apparel are loved, and basketball as fashion is huge over here especially. I really think Clarko's looking towards an Australian football club having the same effect abroad, by making the North Melbourne colors & the Kangaroo be more recognisable than any of the big 4 football clubs here.

In saying that, if he's successful and that is in part his goal, that's big big business.

It also somewhat matches up with that internal marketing memo to advertise ourselves to new demographics.

I think it's the other way round and that was the first thought when he mentioned the kangaroo at his press conference - that he was up with the board's marketing moves on this.

Posters on PP thread on main board saying that Gil & Clarko were seen having coffee this morning. Wonder what was discussed…
Nek Minit.

We find out AC slipped a clause into his contract with North.

"Should the AFL CEO position be offered to AC then his contract with North becomes null and void".

NMFC - Golden State cross-promo collabs when?

Just so exciting hey!

Sure we won't be top level for a while but the mere fact we have a proven coach means we know if we weren't good enough, not this constant "is it the players or the coach" discussion which has been happening for far too long.

I'm absolutely rapt we have Clarkson and very excited so see what he can do and positive change for the future on and of field.

"Anybody getting ham on their parmas' gets a **** punch"

I have a leaked "alleged" video of Clarko inspecting the parmas cooking in the oven and discovering ham, he wasn't impressed.
