Surely that should have read:

It's good to know that some things don't change and that Caroline is as positive and chirpy about North Melbourne as always.

Even when seemingly giving a compliment, it's laden with digs.

Death, taxes, and Caroline's negativity - the three certainties.

Mighta just upgraded the gravel road to a city style flyover. Piss off caro

That article of Wilson's draws some pretty long bow's (sadly as we've come to expect):

"The new North coach told broadcaster Gerard Whateley that Peter Jackson and Geoff Walsh were two talented football statesmen not working in the game whose wisdom should be called upon. Clarkson’s comment underlined that the end was near for Kangaroos football boss Daniel McPherson and chief executive Ben Amarfio."

Having listened to said interview with Whateley Clarko said Sonja had already "leant into" these guys for advice.

"He also suggested Hood’s previous public assessment of the Kangaroos’ list had been incorrect."

Hood herself has clarified this publicly about 75 times.

And once again, we're left with an article with no new facts or details, other than possibly Jackson and Walsh assisting in the search for a CEO, and a whole bunch of supposition that any hack putting two and two together could do (and getting negative 1). As they say in France, le sigh...

and on that note of very thin new information, hasn't it already pretty much been confirmed that it's a no on Jackson and Walsh's role was temporary review only?

so not even really new information?

NBA GREAT LAUDS CLARKO

GLENN McFARLANE - Exclusive
FOUR-TIME NBA championship-winning coach Steve Kerr has told how AFL coaching great Alastair Clarkson provided “creative ideas and thoughts” during the Golden State Warriors’ first-round playoff series win over the Denver Nuggets in April.
Just a week after Clarkson said his return to coaching had been inspired by watching the Warriors at close quarters earlier this year, Kerr told the Herald Sun he was delighted to hear this week the four-time AFL premiership mentor had joined North Melbourne as coach.
“I’m thrilled he’s back coaching the team he once played for in Melbourne and I have no doubt he’s got the energy and the fire to do a great job,” Kerr said of Clarkson’s new role with the Kangaroos.
Clarkson spent several months in the US on a fact-finding mission after leaving Hawthorn, spending part of his time with six-time NBA champion Golden State and NFL giants Green Bay Packers. He developed a strong rapport with Kerr – one of the most respected coaches in world sport – and provided some input when embedded with the coaching staff as they planned to negate the influence of Denver’s back-to-back NBA MVP Nikola Jokic.
“Al had a lot of creative ideas and thoughts which really helped me navigate our championship run,” Kerr said.
The Warriors won that first-round series against Denver 4-1, before winning the championship 4-2 over the Boston Celtics in June.
Kerr said Clarkson made an impression on the coaching group in his time at the club. The pair have kept in contact in the months since.
“Alastair was wonderful,” Kerr said. “We compared notes every day, shared thoughts and stories and developed a real friendship.
“I think it was helpful for Al to watch our players interact at practice every day and to see how we go about our business. For me it was great to be able to lean on someone who has sat in my seat for many years and enjoyed great success coaching.”
Clarkson had been wavering on whether he wanted to coach at senior AFL level again after departing Hawthorn under difficult circumstances at the end of last season. But he said his time at Golden State stirred his competitive coaching juices.
Clarkson said: “I spent a lot of time with Golden State and Steve Kerr … They were starting their playoffs and I was sitting in discussions with Steve, Ron Adams, Mike Brown, Kenny Atkinson and their coaching crew. They’re planning a big playoff series against Denver — and they (Denver) had the MVP (Nikola Jokic) on their side — and there was this enormous strategy around how they were going to defeat Denver and negate the influence of this significant player.
“I came back from there so inspired by what Steve was doing, first and foremost, and their success. I thought, ‘This is what I do, this is in my DNA’.”

Possibly Jackson and Walsh are assisting in the search for a CEO but also possibly we are not searching at all. There has been no confirmation, only supposition that Ben Amarfio won't be in the role next year.

I don’t think after Sonja’s radio interview you could expect Ben to be in the same role next year. Still a lot of jumping at shadows in the coverage. Interesting that when the cameras were there for the get-together with coaches, he was front and centre.

That sure is using a lot of words to say nothing.

Steve gave some of his own advice to Clarkson telling him , that Mahoney fellow will be a good full forward one day. Stick to basketball Steve

Perfect timing IMO. Gun coach.

Passionate about North.

Get us on the right track and I trust his opinion Anderson is not required and Scott is expendable.

Jut knowing Clarkson, a proven coach, not an idiot like Noble is so comforting i'm rapt we are on the right track.
