Most of these are made up of seniors who are 3 years older than him. He's actually tracking much better than expected (unfortunately for us). Was expected to barely play in his freshman year and was a key contributor and will most likely start this year.

Yeah he is, but the 3 years older thing isn't relevant. It's different as there isn't a draft year like there is in AFL - the best of last year's Freshman have already been drafted and joined NBA teams and aren't in any of these teams, and even more of the best of last year's Y2 guys. Not many draftees do all 4 years of college.

And often those who do (in recent drafts: Edey, Jackson-Davis, Garza & Azubuike spring to mind) are typically dominant in college.

It seems a matter of severity compared with how good at basketball you are. Terrence Shannon would probably have been a fringe lottery pick without the huge allegations that came his way.

Only my two cents, but despite being one of 32 the SEC is one of the stronger conferences.

No certainty (either of signing or being good), but the possibility of adding Condon in 2025 is big for us. We need developing talls and with our lack of picks in 2024, adding players via alternate means is gold.

Best case scenario: we add McGuane and Condon in 2025 and they both prove to be of first round quality. Would cover the picks we've traded the last two years.

Think there is a view that he is a good college basketball player but maybe not good enough for NBA

Getting drafted is hard in the US obviously, you are competing against players in the US in colleges, but also those internationally

That’s good, we’ve been keeping track of him for a while now so we clearly rate him.

What are the odds he gets drafted in the NBA though? Have zero knowledge on Basketball but i’m guessing it’s an outside chance at this stage.
