Congratulations to Woody.
He, Langford ,Anderson and even Whitecross will allow us so much flexibility next year to rest guys like Mitchell, Hodge, Burgoyne and Sewell (if he goes on).I think it was the Frankston coach Goosey on the weekend on the ABC coverage who said Woody was a chance because he always stood out. Very similar fashion to Mitchell's win in 2001.
A family friend said he was disappointed on a few occasions during this year when others got a go before him. But Ratten in particular told him his time will come. He was super keen to play in the AFL but the coaches knew he would need a year of solid footy before he was ready for the AFL pace.
