the highlighted is enough to conclude that hawthorn has as much young tallent as a the local senior 4th football team, if you classify shoenmakers recruitment as "frightingly good" then i am very very concerned what is considered average down at hawthorn

reality check, shiels savage bruest whitecross smith gunston stratton are C graders and in only bruests case possibly a B grader, simply just workhorse like players, i have watched a lot of these guys play football and they simply just do not have the class to become top players

our senior players can drop off slightly, the likes of christensen smedts caddy duncan horlin smith are all classy A graders in the making, they will slowly take over the reigns of the seniors, after GWS and gold coast we have the best youth in the AFL

hawthorn do not have any decent youth that will be able to step up once sewel mitchel hodge burgoyne decline even the slightest, its goodnight and bye bye hawthorn! bottom four once again

1.you traded for it but its still a number 1 pick , how can you tell me hawthorn don't need early draft picks to build a premiership side when you had draft picks 1,2,3,5 and 6 ? you cant get any earlier than that

2.Two back to back priority draft picks and your competing with Sydney and geelong who cant get a single draft pick below 7.The only farther son Geelong had that would of been top 10 is Hawkins , we turned ablett and scarlett into great players.

3.Top sides are suppose to lose good players , not pick them up , you should not have Lake,Mcanvoy and Frawly on your list
