We just don't have the cattle, I'm afraid.
There has been no change really in the cattle over the last 6 weeks.
What has changed drastically is the competition.
Sydney,Carlton,Brisbane,Geelong,Essendon have all dropped games badly.
Little old Port like Thomas the Tank just keep puffing up the hill.
We have definitely improved but the opposition has really fallen away.
In the end it doesn’t really matter😉

I said to myself as DBJ lined up, with us 14 pts up with half a quarter to play...these are the goals we never kick. Then he kicked it. So **** I dunno, maybe something is different this time.

Hit me Kenny one more time.

I know he wasn’t great last night but since Rioli and MG came back we have improved massively, we still need our best on the park.
The big change is sides around us have played shyt while we have been grinding out wins.
The old saying of your only as good as your opposition is 2024 in a nutshell.

Look, of course we're a flag chance. We were a flag chance last year. We were a flag chance in 2020 and 2021. Our list, provided we get Georgiades and Marshall back fit, is excellent. We have no reason to fear any team left in the competition. I don't give a shit if we have to play Brisbane in Brisbane, our best footy is good enough. A premiership is well within our reach.

In 2020 we weren't going to beat Geelong or Brisbane at the GABBA in the GF. I was confident of that, but it was a great chance.

In 2021 we were zero chance v Melb, but we should've at least got there.

In 2023 we were just never in the running, making it past a prelim was never happening.

This year has opened up, and we absolutely can get there and go all the way. No one holds any fears. Geelong would need to lose to WC at home to give us any chance of playing an away final V Brisbane, and I'd still hate to face the Lions at all, but really we're looking at
games against Sydney, GWS maybe Geelong away, and likely a non-Vic GF at the G. Things have opened up like never before. Not sure if we can convert it. But Sheesh, it's there for the taking.

Honestly the Hawks are probably the scariest proposition, especially if you copped them on GF day at the G.

This is just the "what if we're good now thread", but faster.

We're premiership favourites surely? Noone is in the same form we are.

I was listening to 3AW earlier and they rattled off 4 teams they considered 'in form' and we weren't one of them.

I tuned into “Crunchtime” this morning and we didn’t rate a mention for the first 30 min. They went on and on about how finals will be determined by individual stars, using Nick Daicos, Brent Daniels and Jesse Hogan’s games yesterday as examples of big game performances. No Butters. No JHF. The longer we stay off the experts’ radar, the more likely we are to win the bloody thing.

Insanity.
The V/AFL is surely the 'lucky sport' in the same way Australia is 'the lucky country'. In spite of its admin, officiaiting, general state of the game and, of course, it's self-proclaimed media 'experts', it's still the no. 1 ticket in town. 🤦‍♂️

All this positivity, this is Port bf?
Or did I make a wrong turn at Albuquerque.
Funny how bashing up a cross town rival and making them cry just lifts your fan base morale. It truly felt like the Port Adelaide of old.

Rozee has another gear too.

If he can find it in finals whilst everyone is looking at JHF and Butters then look out.
