Great to see Jack Steven and Chris Mayne get in. Both have had outstanding seasons.

I think in the case of Steven he seems to be universally loved, and fair enough, such an exciting player.

And also, very annoyed that Goddard did not get a sniff. Been superb and consistent all year.

North would have to be the best 10th place side in AFL history, if just one of those results went your way you would be playing finals!

From a point point of view Wingard and Boak have been the stand out two. Wingard has been the best true high half forward in the league and should make the 22. Boak will struggle to make it. Might squeeze onto the bench.

I think Richmond is way to even across the field to have any obvious nominations. Last year it was Cotchin, Deledio and then everyone else was on a lower tier.
It's evened up with a form drop from Cotchin and Deledio and everyone else has taken a step up. Still, it's strange for 5th place not to even get a single player in the 40 man squad.

Great to see Jezza Cameron get in with a team that won only 1 game. Bit surprised by Gibson and Buddy's inclusion but good to see Mitchell finally get some recognition.

I think StevieJ deserved a spot more than Mackie to be honest. Although Mackie has had a very good year. Bartel has also had a good year too.

Given that an All Star Indigenous Team is playing the International Rules tournament in Ireland this year it might be a good year to be a named aboriginal player.

Mackie a bit lucky, Geelong back 6 have been iffy at times this year defensively. Mathew Stokes stiff but competetion for on-ball spots is always pretty hot.

4 players there for us all fairly deserved and shows we have had a good year despite our woeful ladder position. Thompson will make the final team the other 3 should miss out though.

Some effort of Richmond to finish fifth without any great players. Bizarre that they didn't get at least one nomination.

No on Bartel IMO. Has been good no doubt but a couple of bad games defensively.
