All Australian selectors get it wrong

Thanks.

Just to reinforce the media driven way the AA is picked... If the AA was announced after the brownlow, does anyone think Judd wouldnt be in it ?

Last week no chance. Hayes in for Judd last week

Today Judd back in, Hayes out.

When Did Hodge play Half back this year? Could you please tell me, watching every hawthorn game i must of missed it somehow

Enlighten me.

He went to the back flank a few times when the midfield tag got too much for him

should have elbowed someone in the face instead

It does seem to be a proven vote pulling technique.
Was slighty miffed that StevieJ didn't get vote's for his work on Baker

Clearly. A well known player with that amount of attention and having nobody else around him to steal votes is always going to mean he'll most likely get many votes when carlton do win games. Sure Judd is a good player but has he really even been one of the top 5 Midfielders this year? His spot on the bench was debatable. Do you think Judd would have won the brownlow if he was playing for Geelong?

All Australian selectors have been totally embarrassed.

Chris Judd's brownlow win confirmed him the no.1 midfielder in the league.

Not sure what games the selectors were watching but for mine and most others that follow the game he should have been first picked on the ground plus the captaincy.
Woewodin >>>> Koutoufides

Woewodin probably had a better season in 2000 than Judd had in 2010. I've always found it hilarious that people use the Brown Nose Medal as proof of a footballer's greatness. The guys who decide the votes are idiotic short people who never even played the game. Most of them took up umpiring at the age of 14 because the were too scared to play and they had no friends. Everyone gives abuse to these fools for six months of the year then treats their opinions like gospel once their votes have been counted. It's one of the great jokes of our time.

why do people persist on saying that swan and ablett had to share their votes with team mates?

best on ground = 3 points

full stop

Yep, the AA selectors got it wrong. Judd shouldn't have been in the team at all. This is making me laugh. How much did we hear from the Carlton fans prior to the medal telling us he would win it? Stuff all. The moment he wins, suddenly the board's ablaze telling us Judd was a worthy winner. Crap.

Yeah you and Podgy and Hyped up have been telling us how good Hodge is and how bad Judd is Karma champ.

LMFAO I think you have the cart before the horse mate, whats been prooved is that the Brownlow is of little relevence other than showing who the Umps love and who is playing with enough spuds not to share votes around

Go check last years votes moron = Judd runner up

Murphy and Gibbs also in top ten vote getters, so who is a team of spuds fool.

So by going on your logic, Abblet should win a Brownlow next year playing for the GC. I very much doubt it.
I would even go as far as to say that Swan Abblet and Hodge wouldnt get close to a Brownlow if they where playing at Carlton (being a young side.)

The Brownlow is not the best judge of an MVP.

Swan, Ablett and Hodge all had better years in the midfield so correct decision was made.

Whose opinion on football are you more likely to listen to - Chris Judd or Ray Chamberlain? Point being that umpires opinion on B&F really is irrelevant...

History dont remember MVP awards they remember the BROWNLOW MEDALIST :D
So tell me how many has Hodge Podge got

Juddy will be remembered twice :)

Save this peurile wank for Bay 13 or the Carlton board were it belongs!

Forgot about Luke Hodge being appointed captain. Another mistake. Very ordinary second half of the season. At best he is a HBF otherwise there is no room for him.

Good to see Carlton supporters showing unprecedented reverence towards the Umpiring fraternity.

Wasnt it the ferrals that said all year that Swan Wellingham and Pentles was so much better than Judd.

Then there was Hodge is better than Judd all year.
Now they can all go crawl back into their holes because

THE JUDDSTER IS THE BROWNLOW MEDIALIST FOR 2010 :D
Umpires love the guy that goes and gets his own ball while haveing a few guys hanging off him all the time.

They dont appreciate the recievers like Swan and Hodge. :p

Spot on.

Midfield should have been Sandilands in the ruck, Judd ruck-rover, Ablett first rover with Swan in the centre. Pendelbury and Selwood on the wings with Hodge @ half back.

Disappointing year for the all australian selectors. Shown up badly by the umpires getting it right.

Did hodge play half back? If not, don't put him there. Simple.
