Any venues close by?
You’d be annoyed if you’ve booked accomodation and the change is some distance away.

Brisbane Entertainment Centre?

Not exactly near - but I'm a northern suburbs lad so I wouldn't mind it.

Perhaps the RNA Showgrounds?

Suggestion was coming from the view of a non QLD'er. In the grand scheme of things, for those coming interstate - remaining in QLD would be an easier pill to swallow, as opposed to moving to NSW or VIC.

Apologies as I don't know much about it if it's at RNA, would it still be outdoors?

I don't even know what I want to happen from here.

We already heard whispers last week that it may not be a PPV. If it's just going to be some TBS special at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, that's not worth the money that I've spent on the trip. And everything I booked is refundable except the tickets to the shows (and the AEW show will become refundable if it moves location.)

But I have 4 friends coming to the Australian Supershow on the Friday night, so I guess I still need it to go ahead.

A move would solidify that I'm actually going for the Friday show moreso than the AEW show I think.

It's been a bit confusing. The naming is in line with a Dynamite special, the time difference is still AU evening. Cant see how it would be a PPV, unless it's at a discounted price as people would be watching on delay in the US.

I'm worried with this being sandwiched in between Dynasty and Revolution they weren't ever treating this like a fully fledged PPV anyway.

I don't know what they were expecting, 50,000 seat stadium was a generous wish for a company that I'm not even sure gets 10,000 viewers weekly in Australia.

Its not even that. WWE in its peak of touring Australia don't even pull 10,000 in Brisbane.

For what I can see, Brisbane Entertainment center is free on that date. Move the show there and they can pack that place out. It wil be a much better atmosphere and good for TV viewing too if they stream the event on Max

Exactly, I think a smaller venue would work well, I do think they saw how they did in Wembley and saw how successful thee Perth show was for WWE and thought they could do the same.

But for the most part Australia is a very casual audience, it's WWE or nothing here.

Apparently the June 8th 2023 Dynamite is the only Dynamite to reach the top 20 with 20k viewers. It was probably a delayed Dynamite with game 3 of the NBA finals right before it.

Such a shit location though, especially for everyone that has booked (expensive!) accomodation near Suncorp/Roma St.

The number that Sapp went with was 8k for tickets sold... that's probably not even enough to automatically warrant it remaining in Brisbane depending on what the local promoter is advising around local conditions, stadium availability and government contracts.

If those numbers are true its mind boggling they even booked the venue in the first place. It makes you wonder if they did any actual research into the costs, likely ticket sales etc. Eric Bischoff cops a lot of shit and rightly so in a lot of cases but when they mentioned this months ago he said it would be extremely unlikely they would do an Aussie show because of the massive costs associated with travelling here, equipment etc. Did they just look at the turn out for Elimination Chamber and thought wrestling was hot in Aus?

The 8K turn out to to me is totally fine if your running a live event like WWE used to down here. If those numbers are accurate they could have been better off just doing the 3 live event "house" shows in Melb, Syd and Brisbane.

According to PWInsider Adam Copeland is in the final stages of his recovery, but he's also filming a TV show which will take until January. So perhaps after that he may return?
I'd imagine so, they'd want to have some big names ready for Brisbane too, Copeland would help them out a little.

What?

I leapt at the chance to see AEW live. It feels like a really special opportunity. Why should the show stop being something that you're excited to see?

Whilst it’s all petty stuff, I believe Tony Khan put out a tweet a few years ago in poor taste, about him and his father meeting with Dana White and celebrating WWE moving MITB from a stadium to an Arena.

It most likely fuels that negativity etc
Lol, maybe five people in the world even know if this happened. I've never heard of it before in my life. You'd have to be incredibly petty to still be dwelling on something minor like this
