I'd be interested to hear the broadcast arrangements in Japan, I wonder whether internationally it's being treated as an "Asia/Oceania show", resulting in Takeshita and Okada also getting prominent spots? (I only there were a spot for Mina...)

It's shaping up damn fantastic. I'd like Swerve & Hangman somewhere on the card, but given those 4 announced/very, very likely matches, I've got my fill I think. Anything beyond those 4 is gravy, especially with my seat upgrade. (Hangman could end up in a triple threat title match I guess?)

Jesus I'd be flat if Jarrett were in the main event man.

He wasn't a main eventer in WWF. He shouldn't have been a main eventer in WCW. He sucked as a main eventer in TNA when he owned the company. And now he's in his 50s main eventing AEW? NOar (or however Mercedes says it.)

If people have a couple of spare hours and a couple of spare bucks this week, I really recommend All About Eve.

I saw people complaining that this was a bit abrupt. I also see people complaining that her act was all for nothing.

I think that ignores the art of the storytelling itself, wrestling is more than just what happens within the ropes. The act wasn't for nothing, the act is the reason that Timeless Toni found herself, found her confidence, and found her need to rip Mariah's **** off after previously announcing that she was retired. And the fact that the show is in Brisbane, and that Toni Time was born there, created an urgency and a motivation for the ruse.

On top of the wrestling contest? Eve wouldn't move over, she rejected Phoebe's advances... So given it's Hollywood context, "the movie story" makes more sense that Mariah/Eve rejected the advances and the fandom of Toni/Phoebe, even if wrestling fans think it wasn't the normal trope. (And isn't that a good thing if it's a bit different?)

Perhaps the only disappointment I had was that it happened on Saturday, not Wednesday. But given the timeslot for Grand Slam that probably gets a pass too.

Apologies, it's late and it's been one of "those nights" with the holiday tomorrow, so I doubt this makes as much sense as I hoped!

Would have preferred to see Timeless Toni return during a match with Mariah and the make "turn" give her an actual advantage, but a entertaining segment nonetheless.
