TBH I don't know why people were trolling you guys for this. Neeld had ambition to be a head coach so he took the opportunity. Says more about good about Collingwood than bad that several senior coaches were once assistants with them.

Even that is a case of 'well done Collingwood'. Brown never found consistency with us or Freo, but somehow Malthouse & co. got it out of him. IMO that is where Buckley will fall down. Anyone can get a very good player to play well (e.g. Buckley himself in the Tony Shaw years), but nearly every flag side over the last ten years has had otherwise ordinary players play above themselves.

Blair who went backwards last year is probably leading the best and fairest.

Definitely the latter. Although the injury list is getting so big even teams woith good depth would be challenged.
