You certainly seem in a real tizz, I mean really not reading a single line post, as Vettle said last night "come on Alonso you're better than that":thumbsu:

Don't worry Bumped - I'll be the first to admit to anyone how flawed I am ;). But thanks for thinking I am capable of better.

I have no doubt neither her appointment nor her sacking had anything to do with her gender. Disappointing though, I thought she had great credentials although I was less keen when I heard her speak not long after her appointment, just something didn't feel quite right. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

This has been a year to forget!

Having recently dealt with a similar sort of scenario in my work life where the candidate interviewed brilliantly and then became a different person, I can only wish we had the power to remove them as the HFC have done with Gaudry.

Haven't we all?

I guess the proof of the pudding is not in the talking (or the smoke and shadows behind the windows)

As others have mentioned, we'll never get the full story on this one. Makes the club look a bit amateurish to be honest - Ms Gaudrey's tenure would have been lucky to have been longer than the selection process. All sorts of questions here as to the due diligence conducted before her appointment ... all the reasons outlined as reasons for her failure should have been known or answers sought for in any selection process for such a senior position.

Ruthless.

To be honest I'd rather the club make the call and move on than to try and paper over cracks and hope things improve.

I was once in the hiring process for a candidate, and there was something not quite right about him from my impression - but I was outvoted because the others in on the interview felt he was 'so enthusiastic'. It turns out that his enthusiasm was partly fueled by the ice addiction he had! Thank the Patron Saint of Employment for probabtion periods.

*not suggesting at all that Gaudry has an ice addicition.

I think I know what the real problem was

Not liking all this mention of External/Outside/AFL influences.

But eh, it's over so now we go again and find someone with big balls

No but she will have a field day over this. She's taken an especial interest in our inability to secure a CEO earlier this year.
Funny the announcement is done a week after her arrow is off the air :D

Will wait for her article keenly!

There must have been fundamental differences for it to happen this quickly. Some reports suggested Tracey was quite headstrong- clarko would have to be one of the most headstrong people in football, if they were butting heads I can see how this all could have played out. As others have said- sometimes it's better to admit your mistakes early than try to save face and lose ground.

Possibly...wait and see.

Hopefully, gender won't come into the discussion...hopefully

Interesting that the Hun mentioned Simon Garlick. Completely forgot about him. With Lethlean more than likely going to the Pies do we think that Garlick is at the top of the list?

He resigned from the Bulldogs CEO position because they felt he didn't have enough commercial experience. I would prefer someone else.

Her comments were mostly fair, even in hindsight.

Let's not turn this into a "let's kick Caro" campaign, when she literally has zero to do with the sacking.
