He has a point. Whenever he posts, a herd of posters all stampede, all agreeing with each other and making condescending, belittling comments /jokes at his expense which they then bounce off each other....as if they were in an echo chamber (God forbid)

I went hard at you as well, I'm sorry.

Nothing to gain by pissing each other off. :) We're not going to change each other's minds.

Net immigration was at that level in 2022/23 due to the borders having been closed for a couple of years.

It's half that level now, however, probably should be higher as the biggest issue around building enough houses and providing enough services for an aging population is skilled workers - who are currently 70% of that immigration intake that is supposedly a massive drain.

Although I acknowledge the traditional australian employer approach of importing already trained people so that their costs are low ...and that goes right across the building and health care and mining industries ....I would like to point out that it might be advantageous to this country to train some of its own citizens.

It might be helpful in future years as AI becomes more prevalent and legal jobs, for example, disappear and lawyers can be retrained to wipe the asses of australians in aged care....

We all have our roles at BF and the squad provides support and affirmation of their superiority to each other. They are a valuable resource.

Yep, but in the short term with a low unemployment rate, where do these people to train come from?

How can they be superior "to each other" ? Or is this just another way of saying they are interchangeable?

Meaningless questions, because it is capitalism that needs to be dispensed with, not

Your thinking is eternally stuck in an obsolete and historically irrational social system, as is Markfs'

You make a good point, but the employment rate is related to the amount of people registered to be fit able willing and available to work... on your next visit, notice how many able bodied people are lying around...

That's a strong statement. What is it that gives you this conviction? What has opened your eyes in a way that ours haven't?

Can you please link to your sources?
Goodness me I was not going to post anything further today but your ludicrous question about sources is so funny I fell off the chair.
You should be doing stand up because your routine is absolute killer material as are most of gang here, christ you are better than Benny Hill.

Oh man what has "what has opened your eyes" classic.

Yes. Bolsheviks weren't interested in connections between population, employment and production at all. Meaningless.

The Bolsheviks were very interested in these questions. They had a newspaper, Iskra, which probed all the social horrors of capitalism. But they understood that there was no way of ever resolving these horrors without abolishing capitalism, and taking mankind on a step forward to a higher level of social organisation.

Yep and planned immigration due to labour shortages sure as hell isn't against Bolshevik economic theory.

The very concept of "immigration" is against Bolshevik theory. Under international socialism, there would be no such thing as "immigration"". Everyone would have the right to live wherever they wanted.

Thus enabling increased "immigration" and emigration. Those concepts far outdate current national borders.

We definitely will not be changing each others minds anytime soon you are correct there. Frizzle had some very valid points he was making about who or whom is making the decisions the President is making because watching that debate was very alarming for world stability.

I like Frizzle never questioned the western line until I started to, and like him I started to see some big holes in their arguments I am neither a commie or a Chinese or Russian sympathiser just a bloke who questions what he is being told.

If this offends people well so be it,now as I said I have a match to go and see but a lot of what I post about is on the net and mostly it is American,s who are posting it.

I apologise to you for my last reply if anyone is interested they should have a look at Zelensky,s last press conference to get some real idea about what has happened in the Ukraine and who is really to blame for it.

I've got a question that just came to mind...

If you were head of AIPAC and you had both trump and biden in your back pocket, which one would you back? Biden's been in the firm for all his political life and has the support of the clintons. Trump looks like he'll give everything that you want, but he has no emotional tie to the israeli state. In other words, he's untrustworthy. Biden, of course, is a self-proclaimed zionist.

So which one do you pick?

i apologise to everyone for being impatient with everyone's stupidity....

Sounds genuine, so your apology is warmly accepted.

I'm sorry I so often think of you as a grumpy old bastard.
