Fun facts:
Luke Simpkin - has claimed Australians are unknowingly being converted to Islam by eating Halal meat.
Don Randal - claimed the cost of a one-night stay in the far north Queensland city for himself and his wife, as well as two airfares from Perth each worth $2,388.20. A week after the trip, Mr Randall updated his register of members interests to declare that he had bought an investment property in Cairns.
Nice...

There are some great posters on here from Perth, but Im sure there is something in the water.

90% of the morons on this site are from Perth.

Imagine the brainstorming session to come up with that;

Right, we need to sell what the government has done, WTF have we done? Boats, there is always boats. We farked the environment again, our base loves that shit so as long as photos of the reef still look good, and we signed that thing with Japan, what was that? Right, run with that

Idiots
The Reef is fine Alarmist.

Alarmist.

omg
tell me you just didn't.........

It's even worse than we thought HAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

But it is irretrievable for Abbott. It is open season on him now and the public can taste blood. They want it. There is no possible way back for him. So what is the point of deferring?

Couldn't agree more. It's 'when' rather than 'if'. I'd say the only point of deferring is Turnbull knows he doesn't have the numbers now, but also is quite confident things are just going to get more and more dire for Abbott, and a few dominoes will fall in place for the 'someone else' ticket to have another crack in a few weeks. That's pretty much what happened when Rudd eventually took back the PM from Gillard, wasn't it?

Can you blame her?

Not at all, just that it seems to be dictating her behaviour to the point of possibly overcompensating for it. She may well have put her hand up for the leadership on tuesday already if it wasn't for Gillard or if she was a man.

but getting the budget in order, reforming the integration of social welfare and work and reforming tax treatment of non-residents should.

we should have added education reforms, health reforms and IR reforms to that over a 5 year period but this government doesn't have the capability to do it and labor doesn't have the guts.
Your use of the word reform is confusing.

The health system doesnt need sweeping reform, it is exceptionally efficient though slightly underfunded.

There are areas where efficiency gains could be made and Di Natale spoke well on this the other day.

As for tertiary education, it simply needs more money. The main area for reform is in building stronger business or private sector links, which the universities have long tried. Labor created some excellent and in some cases cost neutral or positive programs to aid this, all of which were cut by the libs. Vandalism.

Good to see Tony Abbott chaining the party to the "leadership change = hypocrisy" ship so the opposition doesn't have to.
But, but, they have a 'strong plan', that worked well in Qld didn't it?

Part of the PM's problem is that he came to power with enough people, both internally and externally, having strong doubts about his ability to lead. He was given the chance to prove these people wrong and failed miserably, all of the doubts were confirmed.

Labor claimed there were $3b of savings in health to be had without the lib's proposal

that doesn't sound very efficient
