LD & I were discussing that also in the coffee shop the other day when LD's buddy, Richard Lewis walked with his sassy gf and we just lost our train of thought..

Suppose your gotta dig for diamonds in the rough when it comes to selections coz the 'Window shop displayed items (read: Draft Top 20)' are not they're all cut out to be (in the rookie season). But like everything.. time will tell.

btw, many people will have over the roster limits, and that's okay, no rush, you'll have till completion of preseason game 4 to tell me who you want in or out.

but if anyone wants to get their draftees into their roster asap, let me know straight after the draft who you want released from the roster or draft list.

or if people want to skip the 3 week wait, and just open up FA asap, then let me know.

From a fantasy perspective, definitely.

From an overall perspective, it wasnt that strong either. It was quite top heavy at a lot of positions (CB, WR, OT & QB*), lacked depth in others (ILB, C & G esp) and was really deep at DT

*from a numbers perspective, im not sure any of the QBs will ever be elite

Another random question GG, but how do the IR positions work? Is it like IR irl where once a player is placed there they can't be removed for that season?

no, you can move people in and out all year.
but the player's status must be either O or IR for him to be eligible.
if you move an eligible player to IR, and then weeks later he becomes healthy, often the espn page will error when you try to make acquisitions or trades telling you you have an ineligible player in IR and must sort that out before other transactions will work.

when draft is over, FA remains locked, no transactions allowed until end of preseason game 3 or 4, to allow people time to decide who they want kept from their draftees and roster, as many will have drafted over the roster limits.

end of preseason 4, just before week 1 starts, there'll be a waiver period anyway i think.

so it's pointless having a waiver period soon as the draft is over because no one will have their full team rostered anyway, and FA will be locked.

Yeh, give us a chance to review some pre-season games, and get our roster culled in order to approach waivers/FA's.

drafted players will be added in the next couple of days.....if people tell me who they want released from their combined list of rostered players and draftees, to fit into the 40 and under the maximums.

eg, i'll be adding all my own players, and cutting others i dont want, immediately, only cos i want to. but someone else might want to hold off till end of game 3.

I was happy to throw away a pick on the odd chance that Pryor enters the ESPN player pool, allowed into the supp draft or sues his way in for 2011.

This is exactly like Mordikai being allowed dibs on Mike Vick who was in prison for a season or so.
