espn told you that.
ever heard of lighting a fire under a players ass by drafting another rb.
d.brown had his problems but he can still work out of it.
brown will still be #1/2.
carter is still not polished enough to be #1 or #2.

;) I cut his ass for greener pastures, but i was naturally right once again on two counts.

It means Cassius' reign as 'big head champion' has already ended, taken over by you lol.

The Big Head Championship History
2008: Dspeed
2009: Dspeed
2010: Dagless
2011: Dagless (week 1-11), Cassius (week 11-12), Drd (week 12-* )

At least I'm winning something. Can't say the same for you GG :p

memory lane...

:D

:D

:D
Being a reach doesn't necessarily mean they can't be good ;)

I'm still of the opinion that Dalton will become a middlin' QB2. Good value in this league, but not as a QB1. I liked the bloke, but that was and is my opinion of him.

I'm just talking shit and giving it back to Zarko. My run will probably end soon.

Zarko, being the self proclaimed best team in the league, shouldnt you be top 2 every week? 5th is mediocre at best...

Dalton is by far the best QB in the draft. I said that to GG before the season started. So wanted him.

Anyways, posting > not posting....

Even the best go through slumps son ;)

Newton > Dalton so far, but this was hardly an all-star QB class. I just don't see it in Dalton. Ponder will be similarly okay, but nothing special.

Fantasy wise, Newton can be a top 5 regular.

5th wins more often than not. Don't rightly see it as a total worth complaining about too much when most of your squad has mediocre games.

Anyway, as long as I make it, I would prefer to lose with 5th/4th total scores than arse in wins with 8th and 9th totals, which hardly represents the quality of my team.

How about some draft reviews from each of you fellas to see how we rate our drafting:
Mark Ingram - still would have taken him now, has had injury issues but been solid when he played. Will turn out a solid selection. Would have liked AJ Green though as i'm thin at WR too.
Alex Green - been on IR all season, crap selection in hindsight. Decker would have been perfect.
Mason Foster - solid without excelling, will be alright i think. Worth a third rounder.
Plaxico Burress - short term a good pick still IMO, probably not great as i'm not going to win immediately. Really knowone drafted after him that i'd want.
Patrick Peterson - best fantasy D scorer in the league, has been a revelation.

All in all i'd rate my draft a C+ at this stage with scope to probably get to a B but not the potential for much higher.
Although i have picks horded for next draft so hopefully i can snag some gems.

Also got Jake Ballard and Pierre Garcon so have added to lots of quality depth there.
Cant believe i traded for Zach Miller grrrrr.....
'Lots'.

Decker would have been a perfect pick anywhere after the obvious batch of first rounders. Only one owner was desperate enough  (Desperate in the sense that I badly wanted him, and could have at 14 overall, but still traded down to the end of the second and managed to still nab him :p)

Given the lack of talent taken after my Decker pick, I'm relatively happy with how the rest of my draft went. Kaepernick is a long term project, Quinn has looked solid on occasion despite not playing football for over a year previously, Jarrett cut and Powell hanging around purely because its the Jets and Green is meh.

Honestly, I think the Baggers had a substantially better draft (and perhaps including trade acquisitions) than everybody else in 2011.

Have a very good nucleus of a team, set for an improvement in w-l record in 2012 (even tho i have no picks in that draft).
Yeah, but most people don't rate a draft class 12 weeks into their first season....

GG then Manu are the clear winners atm IMO

Yes Manureid had a good draft too. Remiss not to mention him. If he can nail the 2012 draft too, he should be set to challenge the perennial div winner NDG. And I think Drd has had an excellent season too in all transactions. He's taken the old, mediocre, and neglected JD's Domination and turned them into an immediate top tier team.

I havent done much besides draft AJ Green and get lucky with guys like McGahee, Reggie Bush and Cruz moving into key roles for their teams. I still have really bad WR and RB depth and made a few stupid moves in the off-season (like trading a 3rd to Dagless for Marcedes Lewis ). Picking up Cruz and Kam Chancellor are probably the only other changes I've made.

I dont really know how this team went from the #3 draft pick to likely making the play-offs in one season

I just have atm a lot of guys that are 'possibly' going to break out in the next season or 2. Get Charles back, Julio stays on the park, my QBs can continue some upward improvement.. (I probably have the youngest most inexperienced starting QBs in the league), some of my guys that are 2nd string RBs or rookie WR types improve, see more of the ball, and I draft well in 2012, then i should win 2 games next season!!

I will bomb again in playoffs, team just isn't good enough. Too many coodabeens, no real depth. Have a fair automatic starters, with Rogers, ADP, Forte, Fitz, Dez & Graham. D as a unit is bad, I'm always scratching round the FA list for a pickup there.
Hanging onto blokes that are unlikely to ever be every week selections - Meachem, Rice, Fitzpatrick, Cassell, Jones, Grant, Knox.
Stank up the draft this year, though am holding hopes for Locker to be starter next year & Flynn to be traded and start somewhere.
Looking like having a cleanout this offseason already and "rebuilding".

Funnily enough, didn't even need the W with GG, Dspeed and Mord all choking, gifting me the WC spot anyway.

Time to rest my players, ready to embarrass Cass the week after

I started resting my players ages ago....

Next time we play can you please play Decker? Thanks in advance.

Whatever helps you sleep at night.
Only played Decker because he deserved to play in a win over your lot after you begged for him.
Lol @ playing Winslow over Finley.

Why are we supposed to be laughing at Dspeed? And whats this about resting players?
He popped up midyear after a nice run and then subsequently fell off the map. Ribbing, as they say.

T'was a joke
