So, given it's close. If we've got a kick after the siren to win it, and simply missing would bump us 2 places up in the draft order, and the game is already done, how mad would it be to kick it? I was really hoping for a decent game, decent effort, some good signs from the kids, but starting to get anxious about this.
Carlton are terrible. There is every chance we just overrun them in the second half unfortunately.

We are going to have to play crap the second half to lose this.

yeah it's looking that way

I wouldn't mind losing for the picks if they didn't have half their side out, it's got a bit of an underdog against the odds vibe, prefer we crush them in the second half

When your chumping it up big time but your opponents are chumping it up even more.

This game is so chumpy you can carve it!

Carlton look spent already
They're playing with desperation because they don't want to miss finals. It's like a final for them and they are working hard for not much gain. Meanwhile we are pacing ourselves and getting better reward for effort. Just need to stick to what we're doing and not worry about the crowd or Carlton trying to dictate terms.

Glad we're in front, but the midfield could just work together a bit better around stoppages, too many Carlton players running around together, so we could tighten up a bit around the centre corridor. I hope Higgins and Butler do a bit better next season, and Mitch looks like he has no idea about forward play, positioning etc. and hopefully the coaches can work on him.

Fancy beating Sydney, Essendon, Geelong and probably Carlton when it is too late in the season and it will cost us possibly two elite midfielders.

This club never ceases to amaze in the ways it can
1. Disappoint it's fans
2. Shoot itself in the foot.

If Clark has picked the correct option (chip over the top), Owens would not have slipped.. So it also depends on the kicker.. But yes, Owens’ skills can be suspect (including goal kicking), that’s why he should not be a midfielder yet.

Hear me out. We kick a goal after the siren for a draw, Carlton fans attack a few more umpires and sook. Doesn't mess with our ladder position. Freo then get up this afternoon and pip Carlton based on percentage. We get our pick, Carlton lose.
