I would follow the clear rules and penalise them. Not having a team sheet makes it hard for simmers to do their job, so its an important thing. Also, anyone on a team can post it, doesn’t have to be the captain nessecarily, so there’s no excuse.
Very interesting answer.

You should have applied like you said you were then you could make the rules however you like.

ND makes a good point imo. I play on ball each week and perform well most weeks. I'm also a solid contributor to the match thread with approximately 100+ posts each week. Should I miss out to someone who may play well in the BP but rarely posts?
No but you may miss out on a backline position from a CHB who posts 30 odd times a week every week.

I think you'll find people have wised up over recent seasons, a lot of experienced campaigners decided that the quickest way to get All-SFA was to be selected in a back pocket anyway. People have free reign over wherever they want to be selected, and if making the side is super high on their list, there's ways of boosting their odds.

Of those 100+ post, on a scale of 1-10, how many of them are quality?

I've heard of captain's playing their favorite players in a back pocket, or half back position, but chucking them in the guts at the expense of a players that's played their all season, so it pads up the stats of the backline player for All SFA selection.

Disgusting.

Should SFA selection only be based on Match Thread participation or on league wide activity?

A mix of both

but also depends, if someone kills it on field and is a very active match thread contributer, but not active in media, theres not much reason why they don’t deserve to be selected.

If you really wanna make the side, there's plenty of things you can do instead of just being the best.

Like train harder so your not always picked on the bench?

If player X and player Y are fighting for the last spot in the team which happens to be BP, player X plays BP and posts on Ave 30 times per week and player Y plays mid and posts Ave 100 times per week then player X would be given the advantage due to that player playing that position.
My previous example is more relevant to players that contribute minimal post per week to be considered valuable enough for all SFA. personally 30 post per week is probably enough contribution to be valuable but anything less than that and you're scraping the bottom of the barrel.

I've tried hard, now I'm not trying. Still nothing.

Thats more of an issue for captains to resolve. if they cant make up their mind who to write on their team sheet, then they should turn to the LG. Not the league admin.

Wha? What's that got to do with SFA selection criteria?

Get your captain to play you 8 games at RR and 9 games on a half back flank. Guaranteed HBF spot coming up.

You're also sh*t at qooty, so you've got nothing to worry about.

I would, but I have no idea who that is.

Anyway, manangatang if you get elected, I promise to accept your selection of me in the All SFA side next season.
