Have now won just 3 times in 9 weeks. Copping an absolute drubbing to the top teams despite bombers fans hopeful of a flag earlier in the year. Hawthorn could be 80 up at half time if they keep their foot on the pedal. I saw this coming in rd 3 but bombers fan's refused to, quite adamant their team was the flag favorites.

Will they now admit their mob is a long way off it?

Bad injuries to key players, not in the middle though and thats where they're losing it, and they've lost their intensity, think they'll miss the 8 now if there's no miraculous comeback tonight.

Not sure I've seen a team regress quite as quickly as the Bombers. Sure injuries haven't helped them and are certainly a contributing factor to any decline in form but at the same time they've just dropped off in every facet of the game.

Intensity, technique, decision making, positioning..... all in the shitter. They've reverted back to a horrible football team rather than just struggled with a few injuries.

We're still a couple of years away. We've been saying this for the whole year, but for some reason others insisted on pushing us as flag threats.

Gotta go a bit easy on them. They are playing a top side at their very best so far.
Hawks in great form and dictating terms but Essendon have been reduced to witches hats through a lack of intensity. Melbourne would towel up Essendon on their effort tonight. Understandbly injuries have taken a toll but midfield is non existent. Hawks mids doing party tricks.

Injuries is one thing, but they have really turned up their toes and the lack of basic effort is atrocious

Appalling display. LO mentioning a noticeable number of Bomber fans leaving the stadium already
