disagree. lee's had a better year and was deserving of a spot.
if bogut can maintain the 16/10 numbers he'll be in contention for an all nba team (2nd or 3rd). if he can up his pts avg to say 23-25.5 he should be a lock for one of the teams.
as for people arguing cause he's playing for a "small town" team he doesnt get the accolades, BS. ever heard of lew alcindor? 6 time all star in milwaukee.
Lee has had the better season but overall Bogut is the superior player IMO.
I'm sure I wasn't the only one that saw David Lee was clearly way out of his depth in the All Star Game.
Although no doubt he's played phenomenally well for a PF playing as a C and he might be able to play even better if he got a legitimate C next to him.

Absolutely.
Bogut and Noah have clearly been the best 2 centers this year after Dwight, and should have made it ahead of Horford and Lee.

Disagree.
D-Lee plays on a D'Ant team, while Bogut plays on a Skiles team. Their numbers given their teams give Bogut the edge.
Bogut was worthy before Lee but Lee has the big market team support and better offensive stats had Lee get it.

Are you kidding?? He was a genuine superstar in the league. Bogut has been well and truely All Star caliber considering the competition in the East. If Stern had the decision between Bogut and Lee which you would think he did or probably didnt even think of Bogut he will take the big market player from LA, NYK, Chicago every time and your kidding yourself if you dont agree..
Kareem was one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Not exactly comparablelew alcindor had great numbers in waukee, a small town team. he made a few all star games.

ok look. i think the nba should devise a formula so as to allow fans worldwide to compare players from different cities equally and fairly.
haha that would be great but nah seriously though its obvious why they choose the players that will appeal to a greater majority of fans that being from the major cities. But its frustrating when players dont get the kudos they deserve simply because of the team they play on.

David Stern or whoever in the league office picks injury replacements. Lee scores 20+ points and plays in a market where he gets noticed. David Lee shouldn't get any accolades, there are at least 10 better centres in the league.

well i dont think there is any eveidence and im not denying that Lee hasnt had a great year because hes numbers are nice but Boguts had a fantastic season this year and hes big nights are continually ignored in the media both in America and Australia. Why is it that when Bogut has a massive game against Indiana, a career high in points there wasnt a mention on the NBA site hardly but there was a big headline, 'Lee has big night' or something along those lines for having 22 and 15.
It took Bogut playing at MSG to get any type of credit on the site. I just cant agree that the market the team is playing in front of dosnt have a baring on a decision like that.

Yeah i just used Indiana as an example theres been a few times ive seena similar thing where Bogues has a monster night and the highlights are all about a less impressive performace on a more marketable team.
To be honest its just a problem all together with coverage in Aus but having said that you would think an Aussie playing so well in the NBA would warrant at least a few seconds of air time?
Anyway like i said i dont have a problem with Lee's selection, it was well deserved but i question whether hes had a bigger impact then Bogut and even more annoyed there was no real push for Bogut as a candidate.

i would think bogut would get some coverage. i mean patty mills got shitloads when he was drafted. it was an all round circle jerk at the time. ditto jawai, a smorgasbord like jerk off.
the persons pushing for boguts inclusion should be from the bucks organisation.
Your not wrong im just suprised that when he does have a big night you wouldnt at least see a few highlights on the tv or something!
I agree, although as a whole i think there wouldnt be to many 'experts' that would understand the type of season he is having let alone the whole team. Looking at there lineup there is no way they should have won as many games as they have but they are playing well, after tomorow could sit in the 7th seed and you would think they are not even in the playoff picture going by the coverage they get.
Ill be the first to criticise Bogues if he plays poorly and am in no way supporting MIlwaukee because he plays for them but he is actually becoming consistantly dominant and i wouldve thought he shouldve and wouldve been alot closer to playing in the ASG had he played for someone else.
Bogut's on Sports tonight a fair bit, when he posts career high's or scores 30ish..
