They might vote Greens or Independents, which might result in a minority ALP government, but the ALP would obviously prefer they just got the votes outright.

Plus, the ALP finding its feet again as something other than LNP lite is a good thing.
I think we will get an ALP minority government with supply guaranteed by teals.

I don't disagree with you at all about the ALP except I wouldn't say they are LNP lite, I would just say they are light as they haven't done much (taxcut changes were a step forward being the main exception)

I think they will bleed some votes to greens /Independents on this issue but the lost 1st preference votes will only impact in a few seats. The strongest views are probably in relatively safe seats.

Oh I fact checked four of those 6 photos. The MCG photo was from a Flickr account uploaded in 2013, the horse racing photo is a UK photo from 2012 (source of that photo identified by someone else), three of the other photos can be identified from articles from 2018, 2019 and 2022.

If we are turning tables, if Irans pm said what Netanyahu did about the Australian govt being responsible for a mosque attack, would our media be so accommodating?

Netanyahu is processing a war which he sees as just. He needs to take any collateral on board and harden the **** up

The photos prove nothing, as does your rebuttal. What can’t be denied is higher interest rates are putting money in the pockets of a substantial part of soceity, at the same time as some sections are doing it tough partly due to interest rates.

THAT is the proof many people ‘aren’t feeling it’

How about some actual stats to back that up if you are good at proving things?

Why are interest rates being kept high? Stats not needed, though I’d say the RBA has plenty of them
Because the RBA isn't convinced inflation is moving sustainably back to the target band in a reasonable timeframe.

Government spending is making their job harder.

I don't think a majority government is likely, but Albanese has a path via scare campaigning. It's how Morrison saved an unpopular government in 2019.

Albo needs to stay disciplined and relentlessly attack Dutton, his unsympathetic image, his lack of policy and his destructive bent. Done right, that might just defend enough seats to stay in majority, or to only need a couple of crossbenchers.

For one thing government spending remains too high at 28% of GDP. That is fuelling inflation.

What a stupid, backwards society we are making. I'm grateful that I own a house, but we shouldn't make an Australia where busting your arse at work can't get you a house while the person next to you can get one via parental help. And we can't have a society where people are living with their parents until they're 25-40.
Albo "We've tried nothing and we are all out of ideas!"

****, remember the absolute god-tier tantrum from news corp the last time a bunch of indys backed Labor ??
