LOL jog on mate.
Ten years in the Queensland Police force and he couldn't make it past senior constable but we're supposed to believe he's PM material.

Here we go. The labor pr machine at it again. What about your beloved leader's creditentials?
Anyone defending the government is part of a pr spin machine but you're just giving your independent and rational point of view. Am I doing it right?

You defend the prime minister and the labor party to the hilt. They do never wrong in your eyes. Don't take any of your posts seriously at all.
Albo's "snout in the public service for all his working life" suggests you're not exactly a bastion of impartiality.

Plus the police are public servants.

Plus it's well documented that the Qld police in Dutton's time were appallingly corrupt and nasty.

Plus there's nothing to suggest he distinguished himself during that time, likewise nothing to suggest he was horrified by the corrupt and nasty behaviour he would have seen around him, and at least a little to suggest he was pretty nasty himself.

But yeah, a "real" job.

PS I don't "defend the prime minister and the labor party to the hilt". I mostly vote Green. Labor have been a big disappointment and I certainly won't be voting for them.

But Blind Freddie can see how much better they've been than the Coalition. I mean why are we even having this discussion.

So your saying a politician and being a cop are the same? Thats an odd take.

"I defend the prime minister and the labor party to the hilt" was not directed at you and you know that.

Yeah blind freddie can tell the labor party are so much better and doing such a great job. They are doing such a great job they are behind in most polls.

Albanese is a weak and indecisive leader. Who has no idea how the average person in the suburbs is travelling.

But you and your mates keep being in denial. Its just like the trump thread before he won the election last year. Its just laughable how you and your mates defend the labor party.

I think your sentence about Albo is true, but I also think the ALP are doing a better job than the LNP.

I think Albanese is the albatross around the job the ALP are doing. They're not seen to be leading because their leaders seems intent on not leading in case he gets attacked by the conservative media for it.

"I'm not accusing you personally of defending Labor too much, but it's laughable how you're in denial and defending Labor."

What exactly are "we" in denial about? That's the 2nd such comment today, and in relation to Trump, where it goes unspecified.

So your saying a politician and being a cop are the same? Thats an odd take.
No. I'm saying they are both public servants, which is what you were tangentially criticising Albanese for being.

If you want to make the case that cops are more important than politicians, go right ahead. A nation with a police force but no government. Gee wouldn't that be a swell place to be?

"I defend the prime minister and the labor party to the hilt" was not directed at you and you know that.
You certainly implied you were directing it at everyone, with your "labor pr machine at it again" comment. So just take my comment as further enrichment of the discursive background.

Yes coz, the people are always right. They smashed John Howard for Kevin Rudd, and Rudd's government was such a raging success, wasn't it?

Albanese is a weak and indecisive leader.

He is overly cautious, when a lot of voters wanted clear change from the horrible Coalition years. Admittedly he is starting to make noises about being more reforming in a second term, but the big question is whether he will even get a second majority term at this rate.
Who has no idea how the average person in the suburbs is travelling.
Gee whiz, a politician with decades of experience from the very bottom to the very top, and yet he doesn't know that his party constantly runs focus groups, and conducts seat-by-seat polling. You should tell him!
But you and your mates keep being in denial. Its just like the trump thread before he won the election last year. Its just laughable how you and your mates defend the labor party.
I already explained. I don't defend Labor. I mostly vote Green.

But I can still see (as you clearly can't) how important it was for the good of the nation that Labor replaced that truly terrible Coalition government. Do list the achievements of them in their near-decade in power.

PS if it was so certain Trump was going to win (by a whopping 1% of the vote in the end, as it happens), why didn't you tell all the polling companies?

Certainly seems strange that some posters seem to have no political principles of their own by taking the position that polling/election results equates to the winner being objectively better for the electorate.

But then despite the fact that polls/results swing back and forth, they somehow seem to have distinct biases toward conservative parties/against lefter leaning ones.

It’s laughable how out of touch they are with folk out there.
