Anthony Albanese - How long? -3-

So your classing a cop in the same bracket as Albanese. Interesting your take if it was a labor person. Would be crickets wouldnt it?
Coppers are public servants, they're paid from the public dime whatever their political bent. You need to take a deep breath.

Ah, the hypocrisy. Or maybe I'm giving you too much credit? 🤔
Lets look at the recent announcement about funding for the Bruce Highway. Your esteemed finance minister said its at least 4 years away.

I think its hilarious that they have reimaged your esteemed leader into a modern day man who can relate to the common person in the suburbs over the new year break.

Let me break it to you bud. Albanese is on the nose with the majority of the general public. You may not like to hear that but its a fact.

You just can't help making my point over and over can you.

It wouldn't be that much of a shock.

He is nowhere near my "beloved leader".

But you keep imagining things bud.
See, many conservatives do a lot of projecting. Perhaps they're so used to understanding the world a certain way, that they assume those who disagree with them must think and feel the same way for the other main political tribe. They worship Trump, so they think the left worship Biden. They worship Dutton, so they think the left worship Albanese.

It doesn't occur to them that people might only see politicians as very flawed means to an end, or that the left might be severely disappointed with "centre-left" parties for embracing neoliberal capitalism and buddying up to corporations.

I just think this forum needs to be a level playing field instead of all of us adoring the labor party.

Bloody hell I've already told you I vote Green.

IIRC correctly the same goes for Johnny Bananas, and I hazard a guess that is the same for several other regulars on here. There is no worship of Labor. What is your point?

PS still waiting for your list of the achievements of the Coalition in its recent near-decade in power, so we can discuss how they shape up against the current mob.

I don't even worship the Greens, I have several issues with them. I just consider them the least worst option on my ballot.

Many of us don't adore the Labor Party at all, we really wish they'd act less like the Liberal Party.
O

You keep telling yourself that. Sounds like your trying to convince yourself.

People can relate to someone that has had a job outside of parliament house.
And people can’t relate to someone who was raised by a single mother in public housing and has endured decades of the highs and lows of politics?

Look, I think most would agree the increasing “professionalisation” of politics is not a positive trend.

We want fewer party apparatchiks, lawyers and billionaires running for office, and more people from a wider walk of life.

Saying that the recent turnaround in the polling of Dutton and Albanese is because one used to be a cop and the other is a career politician is a whole other thing.

Dutton's closer to a career politician than most realise. Joined the young Libs in 1988 and ran in the QLD State Election in 1990. Became a cop for 9 years and then back into politics where he was elected in 2001.

Mate, I enjoy your posts but this is complete nonsense lol. I think anyone on any side of politics “projects” at times.
Nobody in Australia “worships” trump or Dutton. They just don’t like who the opposition is and it then turns into political point scoring on this forum.

Albanese does something poor - bang, a point for the “RWNJs”.
Dutton does something poor, bang, a point for the “leftys”.
The only impartial people are the ones who are able to come on here and complain about both. And there’s not many.

With all due respect, the poster came on here yesterday, made a few unsupported claims, barracked for Dutton, and accused anyone who disagreed as “worshipping Labor” despite repeatedly having a far more realistic nuance shown to them. Perfect example of Johnny B’s point.

(And then they failed to provide any support for their argument that Dutton was a superior choice other than that he’s leading in some polls and that he was an ex-cop.

And then when people took the time and trouble to pen a measured reply, flicked them off with the Laugh emoji.

Eff ‘em.)
