There seem to be a few schools that claimed to have won the 2nds premiership. GGS for one, but MGS only lost one game (Xavier) who they defeated later on, and smashed every other school they played. I doubts GGS will be any good next year, GC had a few young guys apparently but MGS bowled their 1sts out for 60 odd.

yeh, GC had useless "guns" who could only block. hence there score of 203 off 76 overs against brighton on an absaloute road.

We (GGS) also only lost one, but why did MGS play Xavier twice?

MGS will be very strong this year, no doubt. But i think Scotch will get the nod, just.

Melbourne did win the last encounter and the core of both sides remains pretty much intact. Melbourne's second XI also defeated Scotch with many year 11's (who will be the senior players this season) in both sides. Melbourne will also have more players back than scotch will. It will be a very, very close game and in all fairness, could go either way. Will definitely be one of the highlight games of the season.

GGS won't even come close to winning multiple games with the coach they have. I've heard he's very negative and lacks real knowledge.

Ant thoughts.

I can't wait to play em next year

yeh, they are not a strong sporting school. They do not even have a football team in the seconds comp. No depth...

MGS off to UK on Friday. Start of a big season. MGS seamers should do well over there. On same flight as GC. Hope the Aussies start winning, could be in for a bit of flack!

Caulfield are already over there. They are there for 4 weeks and play in France as well as england. Will be interesting to see how they perform.

They play in France as well? I'm sure that makes their tour much better than MGS's, because the standard of cricket will be much better in frog-land.

I don't know about everyone else, but I think the relevance is lost on me...
