ive read over the posts and it seems that there are different opinions on mark coughlan. is he worth it? will he play with the same confidence after a broken leg?

that thread was crap, there was more discussion about the researchers credibility then mark coughlan's fantasy value. and i think more people appreciate direct answers so its simple.

Im gunna take the wait and see approach I think.
If he does very well over the next few weeks in the magoos (or in the practice matches... provided he gets a call up), I'll consider him. If he does average, or heck even just well, I might give him a week or two and keep an eye on him.
I mean, you got a couple of trades in the first few weeks to pick up those that you missed... and his Coughlan can come back from this, and step into the shoes that he once filled... then I'll have two weeks to make the call on it. :D

I wouldn't trade him in, have him first up, could turn out to be a nice early cash cow, but ONLY if he gets some good match practice over the next 30 days. You don't want him if he can't get 3 games up within the 1st 5-6 weeks, don't want another Nathan Brown 07. I'm hovering on this one, can't decide.
The 1st 2 trade rounds should be used to adjust your bench with rookies or cheapies that are likely to get good game time and some cash.

exactly what I said mate ;)

If he doesn't get some good games in, then I won't pick himi up.

If I don't pick him up, and he scores a pair of 90's in the first two weeks, then damn, I'll pick him up then... :) (heck, I'll prolly pick him up after his first 90...). But it all comes down to two things.

1. how he goes between now and then.
2. will he be selected in round 1. :D

Yes Rd 1 selections will be a nightmare with the 1st game being 6pm Thursday, we won't have a clue on the other teams.

i know its going to make it a lot harder
i used to just pick my bench after seeing who is starting but makes it a hell of a lot harder
mite have to use a fwe trades weeks 1+2 to get the rookies right

I'm planning 4 early trades if I have majorly stuffed up. Then hopefully siting quiet for the next 3-4 weeks.

One thing for sure in this game, we are all going to get a couple of early injuries.

No, been out for too long so I wouldn't bother risking it.
Obviously at his price I won't.

I prefer mids closer to the 600k price tag.

But hey I only wear Gucci loafers, Armani suits, Van Heusen shirts, Pierre Cardin ties and Christian Dior shades.

And if I buy a tram ticket I still get a concession.

And if I make a mobile call I still hang up after two rings so the other person will call me back.
