I think we were a lot closer then the 19 points. If you take the first 15 minutes of the game out, we were as good if not better then the Saints. This game was up for grabs. I left the game happy that we put up a contest but quite upset that we couldn't take our oppurtunities.

But for some poor kicking and a couple of line umpire calls, the result may have been different. There certainly was not a gap of 3 goals between the two sides.

Have to look at it from the other perspective tho. We obviously weren't closer then 19 points because we didn't play four quarters and let them get the jump on us. I'm very happy with the pressure we maintained after the first quarter tho, and if we can lift up that and our effective disposals to a good consistent rate then we will continue to be a dangerous team on the up.

i love this post, it's exciting to read. the game wasnt on tv in adelaide but from hearing it on the radio it seemed very winnable.

Totally concur. So many missed opportunities that we snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

Nah I did say that originally, unusually for me I pulled myself up under the effect of gods own brew,Hoegaarden

Still, I enjoy this bombers team, except when it involves the saints! When the dons disposal improves lookout. The ball carry is breath taking at times and extremely fast.

Thought, in my opinion, the 3 less days had a big effect in the end.
