Ah yeah dunno why i missed that one, anyway all the rest hit the targets in that clip including the goals. Not saying he is Buckley but it doesn't appear to be a major issue/flaw either likely just average.

maybe they called the video "highlights" to indicate something

And maybe he's not overtly flawed where its an issue? I am yet to read that he's a poor kick and "highly flawed" by foot from u18 draft watchers.

when he misses that critical goal in the last minute, we'll know he's flawed....generally speaking, i take the bf approach... i use gut feeling

Any updates on Atu from those who head to training?

With a little practice and concentration his name is quite easy to say and spell.

Met ATU and his grandparents couple of weeks ago

Great young fella and fit and hard
modest and a Australian rugby rep , very family orientated

Grandma informed me the club has secured accommodation for the family and the club is very happy with the progress
I'm watching him with interest and believe he will suprise

Yeah, I was told by my source within the club that the coaches see room for a lot of growth, more than most other kids that are drafted that late.

Mad bulldog supporter

Didn't want to go early but watch out for a contract extension

Already impressed with his closing speed awareness and tackling ability
Hard boy

Reckon he needs 12+ months with the group, increasing his fitness, learning his role and playing weekly VFL footy.

By then hopefully his form and a vacancy up front arises for a dedicated small defensive forward... and we get a 100 game career from Atu.

Realistically he's a few years away still, it's rare kids have impacts in their 1st season.. especially for someone later in the draft.

For some reason I can't see his career surpassing the likes of a Goodyear.

Just like I can't see Jack Graham from the Tigers doing anything more in his career than what Blair did.

That said, I'm not completely writing him off. I'm always looking for a new favourite player and this kid has favourite written all over him!

He has more Tricks then Goodyear.

Goodyear was Fast but had not much else.

Atu is quick but he Can Tackle,Take a Strong Mark and Can kick a Goal
