davies has a risky style of play

(he types, right as he steps to leg, misses, and gets clean bowled)

his appearance at the crease has also seemed to encourage konstas to try to force the game more, unnecessarily imo

that being said, in McSweeney, Konstas, Davies it looks like there's quite a few good batsmen with different styles for the future

Konstas looking very fluent - good to see him put in a solid shift before end of the A series.

Probably too little, too late to make the Test squad, but keeps him in the minds of selectors and ahead of others like Bancroft now.

Didn't even look like it moved to the naked eye, he just played down the wrong line.

Straightened off the seam it looked like - was a beautiful delivery. Macca played the line it was going to travel (just on off-stump) before it seamed and took a healthy edge.

Not gonna lie, Konstas is playing a great 2nd innings.

Protected his wicket well early and now is attacking the bowling. Mature innings from the lad. Nice half ton.

EDIT: Selectors will like how many different shots he can play - this attacking part of his innings is pretty solid, attacking the gaps and putting pressure back on the bowling unit. Selectors would love this.

As a 2-game bat off for a test sport, that was an extremely frustrating set of results.

Bancroft could almost literally not be having a worse summer. Going to be very hard to get back in the test side, will need 12 months to flush out those results to put his name back in consideration.

Would be very surpised if McSweeney isn't the one opening, even if he got a pair this game I think he'd secured that spot.

Talk of Konstas playing was pretty premature I thought all along but this was a good chance to get him playing that level higher to see what he needs to work on.

For the best IMO, give him a year or two of consistent shield cricket before picking him at the next level.

Beau Webster is the perfect Cameron Green replacement.
his stats last year and his form this year is enough to lock him in but he won’t be.

We have a 2nd 11 4 game next week SA v NSW.I have made the suggestion play Mc Sweeney as a opener in this game, why not Konstas for NSW as well.

Do you mean the shield game? I would think with the gap between matches it would make perfect sense for them to both play but this is CA after all.

Rocco had a very good game
I can't speak for the game, but his trajectory speaks for itself.

Kuhnemann looks like ****ing runs to me, because his shape is ****ing nigh nonexistent. Murphy's a little better, but I still look at his bowling and wonder about dancing to the pitch.

Rocco - or whatever y'all are reducing his name to - has drift away and steepling dip down. That's ****ing unique among Aussie spinners; last one I saw with it was ****ing Krezja.
